Dont know if this is appropriate, but i could see Mason giving an almighty pre-game speech for the final. Something along the lines of "You dont know how lucky you all are to be able to play here today, when everything youve worked for can be ripped from you in an instant as i saw myself. So go out there and seize it!" Or something along those lines ?

Good luck to Mason and all involved. It would be a fairytale story if it went superb for him and us..

Did I read somewhere that his youth team beat the first team in a training ground friendly recently? I wonder what kind of style and formations he uses?

What is it with this obsession of Ledley being in the coaching team. He might not even be that good at it.

No obsession about Ledley from me, but I cant fathom why the very experienced Chris Powell was overlooked. Actually I can fathom it.....

Experience doesn’t equal aptitude.

Mason’s been given it because he’s impressed the right people to a greater extent than others at the club. Simple as that.

In the real world, thats not always the case.

In any event, its done now, so nothing more to be said.

I think the first thing he should do is gather the squad around him and ask them how they think they'd play best. They all know their strengths and weaknesses better than anyone.

If Mason wins all the remaining games, spurs should just give him the job full time. Getting bored of managerial changes and also bored of media linking any decent managers we do have with jobs at Man u and England. If Mason turns good, then you know he wont even consider another club. We have been shit anyway, may aswell give one of our own a proper chance.

Can I just say with Ledley, regardless of the total lack of coaching experience, no way is he (care taker) manager material. His public speaking is really bad bless him, it's not his fault but he's just not eloquent at all. I've always cringed when he's a pundit in TV studios.

He would get eaten alive in press conferences by the media. Anyone suggesting him just hasn't thought it through at all.

Its a shame that all of his press conference and pre post match stuff will be taken up with being asked about the Super League

Good Luck to Mason, he obviously did not have to accept it which i think some will forget so he must have the balls to think fuck it, i'll give it my all. I really hope he can rev the players up to go out and just play with freedom and some tenacity as we know they can do. I would be so happy for him if he can win the final (obviously i would be happy if we did as well)
