Ironically, he was one of the few Munich players I was actually impressed with that night. The rest (particularly Gomez) didn't show up. He scored their only goal and was consistently good on the ball, rarely wasting it.

Fucking Gomez and Robben, I bloody hate those two now.

I think Schurrle is a better player. Muller benefits from playing in such an excellent team. His main attributes are that he's very mature and composed: he's not really likely to improve in my opinion.

Think he's a good player but I'm not sure a) why he would come and b) if he would be our BEST option.

Muller reminds me of Van Der Vaart a good bit. Both are guys who aren't superb at one or two specific things but do everything on the pitch well. Neither are dominant athletes but they understand the game and have high work rates. Also, they are both guys who have played at the top level and in top competitions. Muller has been to the World Cup and Euro Cup Semifinals, a Champions League final (plus 32 CL appearances), won league cups, and league won titles. Doing all of this while scoring 53 goals, about 1 every 3 games.

Muller has succeeded at the highest levels of world football and is still only 22 years old. As our team attempts to get younger and younger while reaching to achieve things at the highest levels the importance of adding a player like Muller who has experience at those levels cannot be understated. One of the things I personally appreciate about about VDV is the fact that he always seems to be a calming presence on the field. Adding a winner like Muller could have the same result.

Having players that have been there will make our ability to continue progressing to a top club even easier. Especially when they are only 22 and have many years ahead of them. Muller would be a world class signing without a doubt.

Chelsea seem to be more interested in Schuerlle but I would expect some interest if he is available. City no clue but he's a class player so they would have to be interested.

Freund could play a part here selling the club to him. Think he's attainable as he wants more first team football.

Bale----Ade----Mueller

I'm still wondering who our world class signing will be that JJ mentioned. I want to get excited, but no doubt this will end in disappointment!

Always reminded me of a younger podolski. Would be a very useful player to have around. If we could pick him up for 12-13m he would be a great signing imo.

There is nothing to suggest we are even in for him, no media link or link from any credible source

I struggle to believe that there are some on here that wouldn't want a player of the quality of Muller at our club. Who do we think our mysterious new investors are that we are looking higher than Muller? The %*!^ing Illuminati?
