Tim Sherwood admits he is considering an offer to return to Tottenham Hotspur as part of new manager Harry Redknapp's coaching staff.
Redknapp revealed earlier on Monday that the former Spurs midfielder has been sounded out for a position on his backroom team at White Hart Lane.
Ex-England international Sherwood made in excess of 100 appearances during a four-year spell at Spurs before being signed by Redknapp for Portsmouth in 2003.
Sherwood is yet to decide if he wants to get back into football, but the 39-year-old concedes a return to Tottenham is a tempting proposition.
Very flattering

"It has been very flattering to be linked with the club," said Sherwood.
"If I had ever wanted to get back into football the club I would choose would be Tottenham and the manager I would work for would be Harry Redknapp.
"I spoke to Harry yesterday and will do again tomorrow. I have to make my mind up whether or not it is the right time to get back into football.
"It's a great opportunity and I bet there's a queue a mile long to take the job.
"I've talked to my father and he told me I had nothing to think about.
"What it boils down to is if I want to get back into football again and dedicate 100% of my time to the game and I have to make that decision because a club like Tottenham and a manager like Harry Redknapp demands that and you wouldn't expect it any other way."

Not sure how I feel about Sherwood, but I like the sound of his Dad (presuming he meant for his son to take the job, and not to tell us to sod off).

I really really hope Deadwood bottles it, and sticks to the easy life getting massively overpaid for talking shite on satellite TV.

I can't see what he'd bring to the table. I reckon if he put his face in to the changing room, one of the lads would deck him for some of the garbage he's spouted on Sky. He was one of the players who got Hoddle the boot.

Another one of 'Arry's mates awaiting a hefty pay day.

Stay away from my club, Timothy!

i know he has been so called 'anti-spurs' but looking back on what he has said he was always right.

nothing wrong with being realistic and he only said the things he did because he cares about the club he used to captain.

yes he is a bit of a prick but he was a bloody good midfielder and id imagine would add a lot of knowledge to our squad.

if harry thinks he can do a job (he was pompey captain under him) then i trust harrys judgement.

Maybe Clive Allen isn't good enough? And that Sherwood is? Wh knows?

All I know is that I trust Redknapp. Let him get on with it and he will turn the club around.

So it had nothing to do with Hoddle being a poor manager?

Sherwood is a snake. snide and stupid. If he's on the staff i hope it's just to pick up the suburban fox shit every morning from the training ground before the players turn up.

Pleate, Sherwood and all the rest of the back stabbing mothe.... *tRiKS trails off into his usual Hoddle was sabotaged rant*

God no. As much as I liked him as a Spurs player, he's been a shit ever since.

If Harry likes him and trusts him and reckons he can benefit the club I back it 100%

The fact he is an ex-spurs captain is a bonus in my opinion. So what if he has criticsed us in the past. He is a pundit. Thats what they do. How much do you hate to see Hansen bum the scousers. At least Sherwood tries to be impartial.

He also said the only club he would want to come to is Spurs. Good enough for me.

Welcome back Tim
