Don't fox still have cl?

They extended through 2015. After that, I don't think they can hope to secure the UCL without a league to build on - I love the Dutch, but ESPN proved that the Eredivisie as your flagship in footie is an easy way to become a has-been. MSL and EPL are now NBC. Bundesliga is Gol until they close shop. And Spain, Italy and France are beIn. MFL, which is the biggest league in the USA is all Spanish language TV at this point.

Be a great year to win something and attract new supporters. Poor bastards.

Should we tell them that they wont qualify for health insurance as soon as they declare they are Spurs supports... or just let them find out in time?

Stadium naming rights may be coming from the states I reckon. Seems odd to put Spurs on such a high profile setting.

If you become a spurs supporter you're chucked in the deep end. No advice will prepare you for the whirl wind and before you know it you're in london zoos lion enclosure with your pants around your ankles playing a banjo.

And the worst thing is you'll be dying to do it all again next year. God bless america, one day you'll forgive us.

Haven't read much of this, but is anyone else really impressed by this. This is a huge deal,as if we can break the US market that's a lot of money. I know we have some supporters in the US but this....Wow.

Flash mob and all singing the spurs go marching in.

Arrange it now american fans! I'm off to you tube to await the results.

I had visions of some crazy brit screaming "He's scores when he wants.....etc etc"

Would be epic even if it is bit of a shit chant.

Bale Bale Bale Bale. I can see the lot of them getting pepper-sprayed, tasered and battered.

You know how the ancient Greeks used to watch tragic plays as a way of learning from the mistakes of others, and affirming the good stuff going on in their lives? Well I think that's our niche market.

Fucking hell! I'll have to move back Stateside with that kind of coverage. I'll stop reading books without pictures and throw out every atlas I own immediately! I want to fit in after all.

Just how many atlas's do you own?!

I'm only half joking as well. A few years back I read an article from some American site that was trying to help Americans to choose a football team. The reporter went through the list of current Premiership teams and listing the various pros and cons. When he got to Spurs he compared us to the Boston Red Sox (who at that point still hadn't won the world series for decades).

He ended up recommending Spurs as he thought they were the most entertaining, romanticised, and tragic of all the teams in England. I think he also thought that being partly named after a Shakespeare character gives us a touch of class that teams with arse in their name just don't have.
