What's new

Tim's starting lineup was perfect! ...if you're Chelsea.

Sorry mourinho is just a complete troll.

He will say anything to make his position better regardless if it is remotely true or not.

Our tactics were good yesterday tbf. Individual errors from our players and the ref cost us. Nothing to do with TS tactics

Yeah that's bollocks but that's mainly just the headline. We had that game under control until the 3 minute spell left the original tactics up the Creek. But he does have a point about walker, as he couldnt overlap so didnt overload them. And when he did get forward he didn't know what to do and kept running it out or into people instead of whipping crosses in like he normally would . It's what happened after that pisses me off. plenty of teams go down to 10 and can still make it difficult for the opposition and make a game of it, we didn't know what the Fuck we were doing and the players looked like headless chickens for the last 20

We had the attacking threat of a fart in a bubble bath.

We obviously went for a draw.

Best we could have hoped for imo.

But I totally agree and said in the match thread I was absolutely bored to death with our approach but this is a results business and tbf to TS he tried to get the best result we could really hope for.

I didn't have a problem with how the tactics were going in the first half. Whilst we may not have had much threat, what they did achieve was Chelsea not pushing their fullbacks on and having midfielders sitting deep because of the potential threat we may have had to counter at pace (Although I accept they could have been looking to counter themselves). Whilst not breaking down their defensive structure we were composed for the most part and keeping the ball well enough for it to be a cagey game with little of note happening, and quite frankly this is what I want against the top teams. I am happy to take a draw and focus on rolling over the lesser teams in the league. Of course then individual errors crept in...

Whether we could have kept it up for the whole 90 mins, who knows, but I wasn't too unhappy with how things were going tactically until players started dropping epic mistakes left, right and centre.

That is the problem.

All the shit AVB got for being negative, then this.

We should have gone for the win and we wonder why the mentality of our players is all wrong... The club is pathetic at the moment.

Sherwood trolled himself when he decided to roll a midfield that consisted of siggy, lennon, walker (heh) and bentaleb....away from home, at Stamford Bridge.

Mourinho is a baby, he was badly upset by Tim's City are the best side comments after they hammered us, he's been crying like a child about it ever since.

That's not what the majority of the other top teams do though when they play each other is it? They shore up midfield, play a cagey game and are happy to share the points and then focus on hovering them up against the lesser lights of the league.

Had we gone all out attack you would be throwing bricks due manager being tactically naive, hence your point and moaning mean next to nothing.

Don't think you're living in reality my friend.

Bluescum haven't lost at home under mourinho ever is it?

Sorry the way we are playing; just trying to win the game would lead to us getting battered. As it was we did get battered but at least we could have got something if not for the ref and individual errors.

I'm not going to criticise TS for the plan even though I personally found it mind numbingly boring.

Whilst it was not exactly the football that I want to see play, I can understand why he did it when we still had an outside chance of 4th place.

Tim tactics were working, up until the error by Jan and then the stupid penalty and sending off decision.

The players have obviously given up, looks like Tim might have now had enough too. To be honest i don't blame him really. You have LVG coming out every week and mentioning us, if Daniel has got some sort of agreement in place, he needs to tell LVG to shut the fuck up until the end of the season. It can't exactly be conducive to dressing room respect for Tim now can it??

In terms of mourinho trolling and the utter shite he talks to the press did anyone see his interview where he said he'd rather have 3 games in hand rather than 9 points.

He's just a complete fucking troll; saying anything and everything to better his position. He makes Harold sound genuinely humble and honest

No, and I have said it many times before and have done it. I can handle a loss if we can walk off that pitch with our heads held high... Do you think we could walk off that pitch with our heads held high yesterday?

See what you don't get in whatever world you live in, I am looking for performances, consistent performance that fill me with belief that we can achieve things, performances that give me hope... Results are not everything for me, that is why i can happily slate the team after a win, because to be quite frank we have been shit, even when we have won this season, and that worries me.

Ciao

I actually agree with this pov (the first paragraph at least) but it seems to be in a minority on here. People would rather play sleep inducing football and win than play great football but lose.

However even if you do subscribe to the play great football, not necessarily to win at all costs argument I don't blame TS for not doing it. This is a results business and he needs results

Then that is down to Levy to actually support the managers then.

Yes it is a results based business, but we are not billionaires who can splash the cash and buy the league. We have to be patient and develop over a period with a squad. Even if it means not going for CL spot, but rather developing over a long time with a settled back room and settled style of play developed from top to bottom.
