Baldini is really showing why we hired him.

Best thing we did all summer was bringing him in.

Left field signings are always my favourite. Hope we get him he looks very promising. Baldini has been excellent for us so far!

Very talented player, recenty made his debut for Bulgaria. Great at dribbling and good goalscorer. The paper that publishes the story is quite reliable.

Young talent of Bulgarian football Nedelev by Todor Botev is close to a sensational move to Tottenham, reports the newspaper "Trud".
The deal is "baked" at a price of 5,000,000 liras (€ 5.87 million) and will record in history for a player sold by the native group "A". Rubber-stamped by the Bulgarian club negotiate two days in London and reached a verbal agreement. Waiting to finalize the transfer of documents.
In the summer, there was talk that Nedelev desired by Leeds Rostov Werder and Besiktas, but now Tottenham already seems most serious reputation among those who want it and their interest is apparently quite serious.

Only problem is that if we do sign him , he will be cup-tied for EL- where we would be more likely to play him

I like this strategy of going for top eastern european players (Chiriches, Halilovic, Nedelev, etc.) The prices aren't as inflated as English/German/Dutch/Brazilians that play for bigger clubs in more popular leagues, it seems we can still find good value in potential there like what Porto do in South America. Does anyone who has watched this kid know if he would be ready as a first-teamer or go to the U-21s first?

Maybe with ITK on Townsend supposedly wanting to leave and Andre not being impressed with him, this is his replacement?

He could act as Bale back-up and as an unknown commodity could turn out to be a great find.

On the money there pal. I believe I read so whether recently, Baldini has been working on primary targets, but his longer term job is to identify these players a few years before their price goes o.t.t.
This was also mentioned as Magrone's remit upon being appointed.
Big spend now, then some clever longer term signings after. Lesser fee's, lesser expectation, lesser urgency. Idea is to create, as Levy stated when appointing AVB, using the new favilities avs setup, a level of continuity from within, rather than annual summer blowouts. I like the Barca model, few promotions from within and the odd marquee signing in the summer, not multiple transfers.
Get the deadline out of the way, then spend till January identifying and securing academy/development level signings. Pick up these players that other clubs do at 19-22 that we (amongst others) then pay multiple times as much to sign.

Agreed.

German clubs have made a habit of signing players from eastern Europe and done very nicely out of it.

So exciting to have links to unknown players, I trust Baldini's judgement too; he's made some cracking signings in the past.

This is reminiscent of the Chiriches deal before we found out Steau were owned by a corrupt man in prison. Let's hope we don't encounter such problems this time :p

Don't want to be crushed for saying this, but maybe a cheaper alternative to Lamela, and we go stronger for Willian? I just don't see us signing both Lamela and Willian, or maybe either. That's not because we don't want them, but because deals are hard to do when you don't have unlimited funds.

This crossed my mind too. I wouldn't mind that - Only if Bale stays. If Bale goes has to be Willian and Lamela.
