I like that, should give him some decent game time and will thus give him an opportunity to show if he can step up

I see no problems with this move whatsoever.

Actually surprised Swansea have gone in for him but if he gets game time and in a position where he can be more influential further forward than chasing shadows then who know's what this loan move might lead to.

Make or break here. Could come back forcing his way into our team after a great season or he could find himself on the transfer list after doing nothing.

Hope he does well as there's certainly a player there.

Big season for Carroll if he doesn't impress at Swansea, who play to his style I can't see him making it at spurs.

I wouldn't be surprised if this loan goes the same way as McEachren's - Swansea haven't even got Europa to spread the games out and I imagine that once Britton is fit again then he'll take any minutes Carroll will get

I really hope this is a season where he comes good. Said it the other day on here, I think there is a great player in Tom Carroll and hopefully he proves it in top league and then for us in years to come.

Looking forward to seeing how he does. He's shown glimpses of real talent in the past, but there's always been a doubt about whether he can step up to the level expected in the Prem.

We've obviously seen enough to want to persevere with him, so Swansea gives both us and him a great opportunity. If he performs well enough in training he'll get chances with the first team...and if he performs for the first team he'll be answering a lot of questions. If he remains a peripheral character during his time there then it's reasonable enough to conclude that he's not cut out for the level of football we'd be hoping for.
