I can understand that from the point of view of the atmosphere, but surely they'll recognise this as a big opportunity to make a lot of money?

Here here, Caco.....I can echo your sentiments....Great to have Rovers back in the 'big leagues' after so long. I have followed the Green Army throughout the 'known world' and will do so again...as long as I have blood in my veins....The European clash, with my other beloved 'passion/mistress' will be a happy day for all and sundrie....but I can see no other result than a 'comfortable' 6 points for the North London side....That said....never under-estimate what Rovers are capable of! COYS (and you Rovers, close second!)

Fair enough.

This should be a great game anyway. How often do English and Irish clubs face each other in competitive games?

Fulham with big Marty Jol played Crusaders a few weeks ago

Point taken though

Get Robbie Keane involved... he knows how to arrange a piss-up in Dublin!

I hope Rovers see some sense and play the game in Aviva and we can all get tickets for the game, and if they do I wouldn't be surprised to see Irish Spurs fans outnumber the Rovers fans, what you think Caco?

Definately be the case, but it would be the prawn sandwich brigade and won't add anything to the atmosphere! At least in Tallaght it would be hardcore rovers support!

If u were born, bred and live in ireland, and love football then you go support ur local part time team every wknd to sample live football.
You support this team in the part time lower standard Irish league.

Add to that ur love in the EPL is THFC who u also travel over to see 3/4 times a year, then this type of fixture is a once in a lifetime chance, you may be lucky enough to see them play in a friendly but in a competitive fixture is something you wouldn't dream of.

That said Spurs will prob have the youngsters out again but still.

Saying that if my local team were playing Spurs, it would be Spurs all day for me :)
