Tottenham are looking into the option to open their new stadium to show the Champions League final next month. The north London outfit reached the final for the first time in their history after an incredible comeback against Ajax on Wednesday evening. Confirmation came on reaching the final that the club will only be given 16,000 tickets to sell on to supporters, meaning thousands will miss out.

THis has to be a no brainer.
Make it a full day thing with entertainment or a legends game before and it would make so much money for the club.
But as an aside- make it for younger fans! The next generation could be catered for and so start to give the future fanbase a taste of something that has been missing for many years- success.
Win or lose kids could have a real family/ Spurs experience.
If they are thinking of having huge screens then concert style seating on the pitch! They can roll the grass pitch away without any trouble and it would / could be the ideal first event like this!
(with reports of over 50000 Liverpool supporters and many more than our 16000 allocation heading for Madrid- this could stop alot of people going over ticketless and having a great time in our stadium instead!)
I just wish I was nearby!

I'm all over this if getting to Madrid is off the table.

I assume we could get pissed in our seats as well as there's no players on the pitch?

Go the whole hog, slide the footy pitch out. the last states you can't have alcohol in view of the pitch.

This has to be a no brainer. I'd definitely go and be good to maybe see an under 21s/23s game before.

Embarrassing that the finalists together only get about half the stadium. Because $$$$$$$$$$$$

Why not? It's only the same as having a massive fan park.

If UEFA is anything like FIFA is with the WC then you have to apply for a public viewing licence. Plus, depending on the regulation in the UK Spurs might have to get permission from BT Sport as well.

They absolutely will. BT hold the licence and will charge. We'll still make an absolute killing.

I'd imagine you would have to get permission from both UEFA and BT. It's entirely possible we'll get approval from both but it's also possible one of them will be an absolute dick and deny permission.
