I'd imagine you would have to get permission from both UEFA and BT. It's entirely possible we'll get approval from both but it's also possible one of them will be an absolute dick and deny permission.

I think they would be obliged to agree, UEFA anyway, if it will reduce thousands traveling over without tickets. Safety comes first and all that...

Can DL not just use his BT subscription and say that he's inviting a few mates over?

I was hoping for this as soon as the final whistle went, would be amazing to wart how the final at our home, could even use the NFL pitch like it’s a concert for more seats

Old tech mate, you can cast BT from your phone to smart screens.
Has DL got that kind of tech?
I'd imagine his tv is like mine.
Only 18 years old.
Actually it is on the way out, shadow the shape of Italy appearing in bottom right corner, but other than that its got years left in it :)

Does a smart tv turn itself off when nobody is in the room watching it or does it stay on like my one does when the boy is at the table with his tablet and the wife is on the computer

Wouldn’t it be great if they could show a hologram of the match? Levy you numpty, no holograms and no carpets!

Eureka!

The future is watching every away match from 60k capacity White Hart Lane stadium

You get BT Sport free with EE contracts, which is great, but they've disabled the ability to cast it to another device. Luckily I get my internet etc. from BT, so it also comes free with that, which is double great.

It's funny the number of people who don't think about their line being BT regardless of their ISP in most cases, so probably have BT Sport online but don't realise it.

Someone else also pointed out that you can get it on smart TV's too a lot of the time without a paid sub.

You're bang on there. This has been mentioned before. At the start of the season my Dad decided to get BT Sport. Rang them up and 'Oh its free as you're with BT.'
They dont exactly shout it from the roof tops for some reason which is daft imo.

It's not entirely free though, is it?
You have to pay for HD/UHD and, unless you have a 26" TV, you can barely make out what's happening in SD.
If you have Sky, you have to pay if you want it on a 2nd box, even though Sky Q doesn't really have a 2nd box.
I hate BT, but if I didn't have BT broadband, it would cost about £30 a month on top of Sky to have BT sport.
If we'd failed to qualify for next season CL I wouldn't have bothered with BT Sport

BT have rarely seen me wrong and seem to be way more reliable than firms that rent line from them. I had an above average package (fnar), when they finally upgraded the box near me I got a free upgrade to fibre and my bill actually went down a bit, I get BT Sport free whether I want it or not and i only pay one bill.

Don't do Sky anymore as while I enjoy TV, i realised I had 400 channels and would probably only actually watch an hour or two of TV that I couldn't immediately get on-demand elsewhere, so it was just weighing up losing the football but gaining about £50 a month back. No brainer really.

I have Virgin Media for the fibre optic, but my mobile is EE, so I always watch footy via BT.

I think this would a brilliant trial for the multi event aspect of the stadium. Roll the pitch back, get a big fuck off screen, and fill the stadium like a concert. They'd make a packet.

BT mugged me right off.
They sent a lettering saying something along the lines of
X is going up by £1.50 per month
Y is going up by £2.50 per month
"unless you reply to this letter your contract will renew for 12 months at this price"

I figured £4 inflation isn't the end of the world so I let it go.
Next month my bill increased by £26
I got in contact and they clearly referred to the letter, which I had a copy of. I said £1.50 and £2.50 doesn't add up to £26 I want the contract cancelled.
They said it would cost me the remainder of the contract (11 months) to get out of it. They wouldn't budge on it. I went from paying £34 a month to £60 a month.

When that 12 month contract came up I immediately made arrangement to switch to Virgin and sacrifice BT sport. Unfortunately Virgin let me down a few days before the switch over saying they made a mistake, couldn't install it and didn't know when (assume line issues)
So my choice was pay the rolling monthly contract with BT or re-sign for 12 months.
Fortunately I had some one who wasn't a total dicknose on the phone who did it for about £42 all in and fortunately it hasn't (yet) suddenly gone up by a small fortune.
