Which one do you mean? Soldado currently has two assists, for Eriksen v Man City and Lamela v Brighton.

You said 'Sol could claim the same after last Wed game' in reference to Townsend being credited with an assist for a shot on goal. Presuming by Sol you mean Soldado, I was asking which goal you meant Soldado would claim an assist for by that method, considering that the totals in this thread have only credited him with two assists - the one for Eriksen v Man City and the one for Lamela against Brighton.

on another note altogether, I have always wondered how those websites decide on what constitutes a "key pass".
for instance, when modric was playing, he didn't have that many goals nor assists... but often he started the move with an intelligent pick out, and thats how the move all started. wonder if that's how they qualify "key pass".
someone mentioned city - soldado got the assist, eriksen scored. but credit also should go to mason for key tackle, and key pass to soldado.
we haven't scored that many this season - anybody keen on doing some dirty work to pick out which player made the key contribution that allowed the goal to happen for all our goals?

In my original post I was making a point about Sol possibly being able to claim an "assist" for the Kane goal v Brighton.

Would love to know the minutes per goal/assist combo in the league.
Based on your 'total' stats, I think you might need to reconsider your stats for the players below in terms of 'minutes per scoring point'?
Harry Kane - I think this should be... 628 minutes / 10 points = 62.8 minutes per point
Erik Lamela - I think this should be... 912 minutes /10 points =91.2 minutes per point

No. I will only count direct contribution. I think official sites do the same.

Some sites give a player getting fouled in the box and earning a penalty (that is scored) an assist but not a player who crosses, shoots or passes that hits a defenders hand to earn a penalty doesn't get the assist. Winning a free-kick, doesn't count as an assist.

Fair enough. Just a thought as it seems fantasy football points count just about everything. I tend to think they should count too. Are there rules documented at league level that determine the definition of an assist? In the Townsend FK for Kane for example, a slower player wouldn't have won the free kick so he created the opportunity for the goal? Good work on this thread btw.
