I'm gonna keep updating it anyway for my own interest. I don't really think it's mirthful but-hey, ho.

A goal by Eriksen and Kane and a first assist by Aaron Lennon. Minutes will be updated most likely Thursday.

Don't think Eriksens free kick counts as an assist.

In fantasy football and Transfermarkt; winning a penalty, hitting the post or the goalkeeper spilling a shot counts as an assist. Fairly imo, if they didn't ask the question, the scorer wouldnt get the goal

Ffs this thread was on page 6  . Says it all.

Today we scored again.

Goal + assist for Eriksen, Goal to Kane, assist to Davies, who opens his league account.

Eriksen joins Chadli in the league ranking as most effective player.

v Newcastle :

Bentaleb, assist by Eriksen (or by the Newcastle goalkeeper ?)
Chadli, assist by Eriksen
Kane, assist by Townsend
Soldado, assist by Eriksen

Good showing by Eriksen with 3 assists, although Soldado's goal could easily have been Eriksen's had the Newcastle goalkeeper not pushed it out

Can we not stick this thread in the top section where we keep the ratings threads.

We could call it the SC reference section.

These need adding don't they ?

But…
Kane's assist was the defender who clipped Townsend's failed attempt to pass to him through wasn't it ?

Swansea away 2-1 EPL

Corner on right. Eriksen looping ball and Kane heads home. 1-0.
Ferocious tackle by Stambouli -passes to Eriksen who shoots from outside area on the right. Keeper parries to defender pressed by Kane. Defender passes ball to Davies left just outside the pen area. Superb 1st time ball Davies to Eriksen just inside area who shoots home low to right corner. 2-1.

Newcastle home 4-0 League Cup

Chadli wins corner on the left. Eriksen's looping ball is fumbled by goalie and Bentaleb stabs ball in with left foot. 1-0.
Eriksen wide left side pass to Chadli who runs central and right foot shoots from outside area to left corner of net. 2-0.
Rose throw on left to Dembele protects ball passes to Townsend quick pass to Kane inside area on left. Low left foot shoot scores right corner. 3-0.
Long ball to Soldado wide left. Heads back to Eriksen who controls with head and feet then races forward. Right foot shoot from central just outside area to left side of goal. Keeper parries to Soldado who controls well and low shot into right side of net. 4-0.

All goals v Newcastle coming from wide left.

Cheers. Was at the game, just back now (y)

No assist for the first and fourth goal. Both officially assisted by Alnwick, who would have overtaken lots of our players ;)

The defender tried to intercept it and couldn't get enough on it and just bobbled it up, it went in the same direction

Unless of course you don't like Townsend then he is a headless chicken like walker

Nice work, but the only statistics that matter are the ones from the league, where there's consistency in the quality of the opposition. You also need to include elements such as number of shots, shot accuracy, conversion rate, pass accuracy, key passes, and chances created.

You don't, for instance, point out that Lukaku and Bony, to name but two, have had almost as many shots as Ade, Kane and Soldado combined.

Cheers. Shame we cannot give anything to Eriksen for the 4th goal as without his strong shot there could never have been a goal !

I totally agree fro me he was the most important player but this was discussed especially after the Sunderland game where we had similar situations. We came to the conclusion to count it like the official sites does.

I was behind that pass, it goes to the left where Cloback then diverts it a yard to the right into Kane's path. If Colback hadn't touched it Kane wouldn't have got it, or it certainly wouldn't have put him through he would have had to chase it wider.
