Talk about a trial by fire for the new guy… City, Chelsea and Arsenal in his first 6 games… 4 London derbies in a row… there’s a potential for it all to go tits up very quickly if they scent blood in the water. If they can come out of these six in a decent state though… could be interesting. So are we men or mice?

Not a bad final 9 fixtures at least to be honest, if we're realistically fighting for anything come that stage.
Or fighting to avoid anything come that stage.

November and December are gonna be key to our season. Really need to pick up the majority of points through those fixtures. Could boost us quite a bit. Hopefully we’ll also be playing a lesser/2nd team in the European games, which will help us through the league. I’d also be doing the same through the Carabao competition.

If I was Fonseca though, I’d be belly laughing at those first few fixtures. Baptism of fire. Welcome to The Premier League. This shit just got real.

Also, with that first run of fixtures, we need our signings in and playing for the very first game. It is also a baptism of fire for Paratici in that sense, he has A LOT of work to do to get it going smoothly so we’re set for the first game. He won’t want Levy dicking about for the last day of the transfer window.

Of course they put City at home first, with the inevitable Kane stories. It could get toxic very quickly with that start.

It’s almost like they want players to get injured/have problems.

ffs, this again. Every year.

December is more fixture-heavy in the domestic league because European group stages have either finished or are about to, and the FA Cup hasn't yet started for PL teams.

Got to play them all twice.

Radical thought I know, but just as well do it over a season.

Happy that we are playing the best right away. The players will know that they need to be at their highest level from the start and the new manager can use this to put it on them in training from the first day

Last 8 fixtures look reasonable if we need to make a late dash for top 4/top6.
City up first is not bad. Most of them will be playing into July. Whereas we may have Kane. Toby and Celso.

On the flipside if Fonseca can get things right by midpoint of the season, the run-in is actually pretty good.
