One good thing about having 3 of big 6 in first 6 games is that they (well City and Chelsea) have loads more players than us at the Euros so maybe we can catch them cold who knows.

Why are people freaking out over those opening fixtures? We have a good home record against City and then we have Wolves under a new manager followed by Watford and Palace. 3 teams who will likely finish bottom half. No easy games in this league anyway.

Imagine we beat them 1-0 and Kane gets the winner. We then ship him to City and pip them to the title by one more goal scored. That’d be nice wouldn’t it? And fairly probable too.

Didn’t realise the euros finish on the 11th July and the season starts on the 14th August, going to be plenty of broken players come November & December.

We beat City at home last season with a struggling side (Sissoko & Dier started in that game) under a defensive minded Portuguese manager.

Pardon me if I’m feeling a little bit more positive than some of you, especially if we are able to get in a few improvements to the squad / starting eleven before the season starts, and more so if some of City’s better players (KDB, Dias ?) are still on their summer holidays or not match fit yet, when our game arrives.

Well thinking about it, its the best time to play them. A bunch of people coming off the euros & kane cant score in august. So we could get a draw…if we can learn how to actually defend in pre season.

Athough if Son & Bergwijn go to the Olympics, we’re fucked.

I don’t really hate these fixtures. We looked intimidated by City in cup final but they were on a great run at the time. I feel like it’s a pretty good time to face them when they’ve not really got going and our mid season fixtures look good.

Kane back at Spurs in his first game for City.

I personally don’t think we will sell Jane this year but this fixture ensures he won’t be sold before the season starts. Levy is not going to risk the meltdown there would be be if Kane appeared for Man City on the opening day of the season. It would irreparably damage the start of Fonseca’s managerial debut.
