Im looking at his stats and he has started 3 game for us so far, 1 in the league, 1 in the FA cup and one in the CL. one game started in the league when we have played 25 already. you call this "given a chance" I call it a pathetic attempt to rotate the squad.

Stats stats stats, which also if you go by the fact he has come on 7 times this season, where you failed to miss that stat, where any of these stats fail to show that he was absolutely awful in them.

How's he supposed to miraculously hit the ground running? Even superstar Modric needs a few months to get into any sort of a groove.

6 points out of 6 after last weeks disaster, despite so many influential players out injured which keeps us well and truly in the hunt

Defoe and Crouch worked hard, JD needs a bit of luck (you can tell his confidence is low) and he will be fine. I think we should go with him and Pav. Crouch to me is always better of the bench.

Great goal from Krancjar and hopefully he can use this to kick start his season, as long as Harry uses him more

My concern is Gomes, yes he has great games but he needs to be more consistent. Such a soft goal to let through.

We have what we have for the rest of the year, a lot of talented players, Harry needs to use his squad better and we have a chance

like someone said enjoy the day, a late winner and a huge choke by the scum!

didnt he have the chance to leave in the window but opted to stay? to be honest he is a better player than peanut which made his purchase an odd one, hell he has played 15 minutes and already outscored defoe's league total

play him up front

Kranjcar and Steven are in the same league, both high quality players. I would think Arry plays Steven as we need pace on the left now that Bale is out and he's got that.

Who would you drop this season to play him? Vdv, modric or bale? As he can only play those roles.

I thought Pav linked up the play very well. Defoe is being exposed for the player he is.

Great result!

So we have more points than we did at this time last season with a game in hand and people are still moaning at Harry? Good stuff, keep it up.

It's called rotation. Or using your subs. In H's own words, some of our players are running on empty. Nobody's saying Kranjcar is better than Bale or VDV.

He's failed to impress for most of the season when he's come on. It's really that simple. Maybe he's now taken his chance but he certainly didn't in any other game he played in

I dont consider 10-15 min substitutions as "given a chance" either. It's like giving a small piece of bread to someone who has been starving for days if not weeks then claiming that you have fed them.

Redknapp has the benefit of watching them in training as well though mate. He's signed Niko twice now hasn't he? So he obviously likes the bloke

Thats not really the same though is it? :bang:
In this modern day and the nature of the game, you take your chances when you get them when players ahead of you are in form, limited or not. He hasn't previously, he has today, so well done him.

"Fail to impress"??? Am I missing something? Did we just buy Kranjcar at the start of the season and none of us has seen him play before, or wasn't he one of our best players at the start of last season when he had to be played because Modric was out with injury? Kranjcar does not have to impress me at all, because I know how good he is and I have known it since way before he came to the Premier league, he was Portsmouth best played and he was the reason I didn't like when we had to play them. Any player no matter how good they are if not given the proper amount of games per season will get rusty eventually.

I would take this on board were it not for the fact that Redknapp makes a habit of freezing players out, llamafarmer.

Good thing I indicated this season. Last season means little now.
