Tottenham still have an interest in Accrington Stanley keeper Toby Savin after his impressive form over the past few years. The 22-year-old has been the number one for the League One outfit in the previous two campaigns, with his stock rising as a result.

So technically he's 22. As soon as you have your 21st birthday you're 22
No, technically he's 21...except by the weird logic that the media routinely applies to football players (like Kane being "almost 29" last summer window, when he's still 28 now).

The day after his birthday he's no longer 21

All this talk of his age has me wondering, is he too old for a Savin account?

The day after their 21st birthday, someone is 21 years and 1 day old, not 22 years old. They aren't 22 for another 364 days (or 365 days if it's a leap-year...).

To highlight how ridiculous and illogical you're being, imagine if a parent referred to a 1 day old baby as being "1 year old".

He's 22 and that's a fact.

First interview with Spurs media team:
‘Tell us your name’
‘Toby Savin’
‘And what’s your career goal?’
‘Toby Savin’
‘They say you’re good with your feet for a keeper, what’s your secret?’
‘Toby Savin’

Lovely to see people arguing over cardinal and ordinal numbers. I am 48, but in my 49th year. I tend to think more ordinally myself, which ironically is not very ordinary.

Teacher asks James Gardner what he wants to be when he grows up.
James replies, he wants to mow lawns.
Teacher then asks Tracey Clark what she wants to do.
Tracey answers, that she wants to work in an office.
Finally teacher turns to Toby, and Toby said “well I’m not working in a bloody bank!!”
