Club sends their condolences and this is your reply at this hour (including multiple replies in the thread below).
They are making it harder and harder to enjoy their podcast with comments like this.
It's not the sentiment so much as putting out on a simple boiler plate Social Media post by the Club. Could have quote tweeted, sub tweeted or anything. But to reply directly to the Club in that way smacks of such puerile, self aggrandising, "look at me, aren't I brave and edgy" energy. Twat.
I wouldn't hold your breath.I completely agree- NathanAclark has made me cancel my download of this podcast. I quite like Windy and Bardy, But NathanAclark winds me up. I think his ill timed outburst has made a lot of people feel the same. I hope Windy boots him off the podcast and i might listen again.
I don't think it's his views that people have a problem with.I wouldn't hold your breath.
People disagree. Just let Nathan's views roll off your back if you disagree with them and listen for the content.
I haven't listened to any Spurs-specific ones for a few years because they got a bit LADS LADS LADS but the general football ones I listen to have suffered the same fate regarding mixing up the guests. There's a huge pressure to look and sound a certain way, and I get that in the grand scheme of things that's a positive development but it's ultimately killed what made so many shows great. Football Weekly, The Totally Football Show and The Football Ramble used to be my go-to shows but now I'll check out the line-up before I bother to listen.TFC has always been my favourite and I’ve listened to it almost since it started but over the last couple of years it’s lost what made it funny. I think mixing the guests all the time has something to do with it.
I listen to the first of the LWOS every week before I get bored as it’s too long.
So I really need a new spurs podcast.
I like the spurs show.
I dont listen to the Extra Inch due to the presenters - I can’t stand them
I agree he can have that tone. But you can't do anything about it can you? If you can't stand it, vote with your ears and don't listen.I don't think it's his views that people have a problem with.
It's more the self-righteous, myopic and condescending tone.
Have you listened to Under the Cosh?I haven't listened to any Spurs-specific ones for a few years because they got a bit LADS LADS LADS but the general football ones I listen to have suffered the same fate regarding mixing up the guests. I haven't. The Fighting Cock, Rule the Roost and The Spurs Show (when Phil Cornwell was presenting-those impressions were awful!). But these were many years agoHave you listened to Under the Cosh?
Under the Cosh has a lot of old players on from the 80s, 90 and 00s telling stories about what they got up to. Some are hilarious and they are timeless as not linked to the weekend etc. you may need to skip the first ten minutes of just the presenters if you want to go straight into the guest. Mark Crossly was great as he talks about cloughI haven't. The Fighting Cock, Rule the Roost and The Spurs Show (when Phil Cornwell was presenting-those impressions were awful!). But these were many years ago
tbf they are all on each other's podcasts so you're right, there are quite a bit of inside jokes and friendship banter that can go completely over your head, especially an across the pond supporterI think The View From The Lane is the best of them. I think Jack Pitt Brooke especially is the most perceptive of the journos covering Spurs.
The Extra Inch is decent, including for tactical analysis, though they let their politics intrude on their assessments a little too often.
Gold & Guest talk Tottenham also v listenable, although lots of ways to get Ally G’s content. The Cheese Room quick after games, which is often when you want it most. Too much “banter” on Last Word on Spurs for my liking, although I find myself skipping over the first 5 mins of nearly every football podcast nowadays to avoid the banter / in-jokes as much as possible.
This was from October 2020.. it was around same time windy said that he would rather watch 2.5 years of peak Pochball while winning no trophies then see Jose's spurs win 10 trophies. Between the 2 of these incidents they lost a lot of support
