Interesting that someone from the Qataris chose to leak information to Adam Crafton, who is gay, and was a vociferous critic of the Qatari regime in the lead up to the World Cup.

That Adam Crafton loves an anti Middle Eastern moan though. Something doesn’t sit quite right with him that he goes on about it so much, bordering on the Islamophobic that he’s so obsessed with the region and not wanting them in English football. The rest of the article follows in that vein.

I’m not sure their plan is to take over completely in that case, certainly not for a good few years.

But it would still put us in a place where they would likely take over one day and at Levy’s £2.5b minimum valuation would provide a cash injection of £375m.

Even if they only become a minority investor it doesn’t mean they aren’t interested in winning and that they won’t have certain stipulations as part of their deal.

A cash injection of the amount I said and opening doors for sponsorships in Qatar for example would still provide a massive boost in funds and also a big potential boost to revenue.

The issue fans are going to have is this would clearly mean Levy stays on as chairman. So would you take the QSI investment knowing Levy will stay on?

Why would there be a cash injection?

Although to keep spurs valuable we need to keep making champs league

It almost is, hence they own lots of other interests and want to pump money into an EPL club.

Everything’s easier when you have an oil well!

Seriously though how do we know there will actually be a cash injection?

What a load of bollocks, especially the attempt to play the race card.

He's interested in that region because it is repressive regimes from that region who are buying clubs to launder their images. I've been reading his articles for a while and there is no racism there at all. Complete and utter nonsense.

WTF are you on about? Do you think he may be down on the region because he could be imprisoned or killed in Qatar or Saudi merely because of his sexual orientation?

Just our luck isn't it? A Qatari investment fund invests in us just as they become cash strapped.

I’d see 15% as almost a placeholder for an eventual takeover if things work out. As for if there would be a cash injection, QSI’s remit is in sports clubs, and to promote Qatar. You can’t do that without winning stuff or getting into the CL regularly, so money would certainly be invested.

The problem is there are still plenty of people happy with the current owners

The l"ook where we were before they came in" crowd

They are fine with us joining the the top 6 without trying to iwin anything

Not knowing that the rest of the top six are laughing at us

Like someone hanging around waiting for crumps at their buffet table
Have you ever thought, if there is only a minority that wants Enic and Levy out? It's just a thought, from my side.

I wonder if, because of the situation at Utd and Pool, they are taking negotiations with us slowly just in case other avenues open up. Ether way, as expected, it seems theres still a way to go on any potential deal with us.

I think one of the biggest things with the Qatari investment will not just be about the money, but the power and influence we as a club will have on the Uefa game. With both Levy on the board and Nasser Al-Khelaifi as a head that is powerful decision-making around us as a club.

The money investment could push us further as a club, past the likes of Chelsea, Man City, etc the power though make keep us there.

Be interesting to know the exact % amongst our fanbase, but I think you're way off.
If I had to guess I'd say 2/3 want rid of Levy and Enic, but possibly much more.
