I'm glad to see that the Spanish have newspapers as bad as the Express or the Metro. Given the recent recovery in Mata's form, I can't see any "cheeky" bids being made.
My assumption is that this story was written by an intern in February, during the time that Mata wasn't able to get a look-in in United's starting eleven.
How times have changed, and it's rather irritating that both Mata and United only seemed to find their feet against Spurs in March.

This would be going against what levy said last week to the Trust so probably rubbish.

According to made up bollocks reports in Spain, we're posting some nonsense to fill up space in our paper to keep up with the Telegraph and Guardian who have also adopted this approach and gained a lot of followers on twitter and website hits as a result.

What's the Mata now... Media / Journos. always get us linked to one player from every club in PL, also Germany, France and Spain, with Italy added for good measure...agents also use us as bargaining chips with other clubs to get their clients better deals, or play us off against other clubs who are genuinely interested in their player. :sneaky:

Yep, you can pretty much disregard any transfer story linking us to a player who's going to cost more than £15m.

It's rubbish, but still better than reading nothing and leaving us just ruing our missed opportunity over the weekend.
