I thought Davies and Son made a complete hash of most overlap opportunities in that first half. The amount of times they have a 2 vs. 1 and either a) player on the ball ambles about with it or b) the supporting player doesn't make a purposeful run on the over/underlap or usually c) both a and b, was annoying. Had some promising moments, but should have had a fuckload more.

And as for the other flank...

Weakest Arsenal team I've ever seen at the Lane. Gotta beat these ****s, we really have.

Ain't that always the way. We look fitter, stronger and more up for it then them.

Big 45 minutes left. They are still dangerous and if they score the crowd will shit their pants

Looks like semi final. By far the better team. Missing chances. Those fks will have a shot from 25yds and it'll be in back of net.
Big games like these if you miss chances like that you normally get punished.
Draw written all over it.

That we haven't got out of second gear and still created two golden chances is positive. This arsenal team are here to be beaten. Hope go up to a few gears in the second half.

I thought Eriksen's miss was worse than dele's...just required a tap in, and keeping it down

Wanyama will be hauled before Dier 100%

Wanyama hasn't been the same since his injury which is strange as he wasn't out for long.

Hopefully Alli and Eriksen get a chance to make amends as Arsenal grew into that first half and I can just imagine us getting sucker punched.

We don't know how fit Dembele is. Could guck him up for the season if he's not right. I bet Sissoko comes on in the middle of the park!!

That was a fairly typical NLD. Frenetic and edgy. Tactically a bit of smorgasbord, we're missing a couple of key players and they're wrestling with a new format and trying to be "pragmatic" with players that just aren't used to it.

We've been marginally better than they have but they've looked dangerous in patches. As you'd expect really.

We just need to be a bit more composed. Players like Kane just transmitting too much edginess, I love that he cares, but he's caring too much right now and it's effecting his game. Just take a breath and apply more brain.

Dier and Wanyama in midfield is horrible, Dier just spends far too much time hiding from the ball - he's got to show up, Wanayma needs someone to take the ball off him sometimes, as it is he's having to over play outside his comfort zone. When we are trying to play it out from the back Dier just seems to take himself off to the right wing but behind an Arsenal player.

I think as much as we need Eriksen in that 10 position, we probably need to switch to the 3cb system and drop Eriksen back next to Wanyama. Either that or bring Dembele on. It was when we seemed to switch briefly that we gained a foothold about 20 minutes into that first half.

Son's been really lively, if any of our attackers are to be sacrificed for Dembele I hope it's not him. This is the problem with putting all our attackers out from the start. To switch to 3421, we now have to drop Eriksen back, or take one of them out of the game for good.
