93 mins RED CARD Carlos Sanchez
92 mins Yellow Card Danny Rose
79 mins Substitutions Lamela for Townsend and Yedlin for Chiriches
69 mins Villa sub - Cole for Agbonlahor.
65 mins Yellow Card Bentaleb
62 mins Villa sub - Weimann for Grealish.
61 mins Substitution Soldado for Chadli
57 mins Yellow Card Carlos Sanchez
HALF TIME Tottenham 0-1 Aston Villa
34 mins GOAL Tottenham 0-1 Aston Villa - Christian Benteke
Villa take the lead! And no prizes for guessing who has scored it. Christian Benteke rises above Federico Fazio in the box to meet a Leandro Bacuna cross and power a header past Michel Vorm. That is eight in his last six games for the big striker. It should appease Tim Sherwood as well, who was getting irate with the fourth official for an offside decision against Gabriel Agbonlahor he clearly felt was wrong.
17 mins Substitution, Aston Villa. Nathan Baker replaces Ciaran Clark because of an injury.

These shit****s couldn't even beat QPR at home. We'll win this easily.

Yea sure, the Spurs way of winning, right? If we turn up the same way we did at Burnley we are in for another sour afternoon. Hope our players prove me wrong.

Still COYS. Oh how I want this win!

It will be interesting to see what reception Timmy gets.

It'll be embarrassing if he receives a bad one. I'm glad he's not managing our club but he tried his hardest while he was with us and left because we wanted him to. A modest greeting will suffice.

If we can't pick up the 3 points comfortably, i'll be so heated it'll give me an aneurysm.

Come on now man, when was the last time you felt remotely comfortable watching a Spurs match? Unless you have an feeling of impending doom, palpitations and the urge to drink pure alcohol it's probably not Spurs.;)

3-2 to the good guys, more goals shipped but Kane saves the day.... yet again.

If we win I can't wait for the Manchester Derby, someone drops points and neither has a particularly easy draw to finish with. Fingers crossed.

we really should be winning this

But without Lloris it won't be easy

They have pace on the attack and strength in Benteke - they also hjave to fight for their lives while we are in danger of going through the motions

I still fancy us to win at home but it's a game we could easily slip up in and a draw or loss really wouldn't surprise me

The thought of that inexperienced, makeshift back-line against an in-form Benteke has me concerned. Given his loathing of Sherwood, I think Verts would probably have put in a season-best best performance for this one, and Fazio would have been good to keep Benteke quiet - shame it seems they might both be missing.

I agree I don't want to hear boos, but would understand if there were some. Sherwood can't keep his gob shut about us and nearly always in a derogatory fashion (sarcastic comments about the board etc) so could understand some boos.
