Bassong should have just cleared it, and never tried to outmuscle Heskey

Hudd was as bad though, just stood and watched it happen, didnt even try and close down the angle on Heskey and let him stumble all the way into the 6 yard box before even doing anything.

Jenas is not usually enough of a shield. He has improved his game in the opposition half, but I'm not sure his defensive awareness is still good enough without a proper DM next to him.

I would have also put Sandro in the starting line-up, considering his performance after the 1st half v Arsenal and the fact that he has had a week's rest.

Villa will see this line-up and will rightly hope to exploit the opportunities in attack.

hilarious defending. To be honest we look like we've taken a step backwards this year.

A very easy thing to point out after conceding a goal. However take into account that we are playing our 6th and 7th choice CB (King, Dawson, Woodgate, Gallas, Kaboul all missing) as well as our reserve RB and have our best striker out.
