Remember when Harry said that Palacios was exactly the kind of player we were missing? Well that's exactly the kind of player we're missing today.

I know Palacios is off form. It's just a shame we don't have someone else who plays in a similar style..I dunno..someone considered good enough to be a back up player for Brazil's world cup squad....

A very easy thing to point out after conceding a goal. However take into account that we are playing our 6th and 7th choice CB (King, Dawson, Woodgate, Gallas, Kaboul all missing) as well as our reserve RB and have our best striker out.

Even taking that into account, i still feel at this moment in time it look as tough we have taken a step backwards. Our attacking play looks less fluid, Dont seem motivated, not organised at the back. I dont care if your 5/6/7 choice CB, the basics of defending taught from a young age dictate "if in doubt, put it out" When you have a player like hesky breathing down your neck, just clear your lines.

Hutton should have at least made the keepr work

VDV looks to shoot every time even when he has next to know chance of scoring and there are players better placed than him who could retain pocession and we could look to build something rather than throwing away the ball with a no hope shot.

The sooner he gels with those around him the better

At least he took the shot, what do you think Charlie would have done?

I think you contradicted yourself there. Our first choice players would have defended properly but they are missing - our 6th and 7th choice CBs are not good enough hence why they didnt get rid of the ball.

Also i agree our attacking play looks less fluid - but so does uniteds without Rooney, Chelseas without Drogba and Liverpools without Torres............

VDV and Modric are being out worked and not given time on the ball to make us tick so far.

Hopefully quality will trump hard work as the game goes on
