Putting a completely defeatist and shit attitude - which is understandable in the circumstances, but if this injury is bad then it must scupper Bale leaving for pastures new in the summer.

Silver lining on a huge fucking cumulonimbus!

Near a full house. Made all the noise of an OAP in a coma.

Ta, did they give an official figure? First home game I haven't been to in yonks. Some Hammers prick is saying on fb there were loads of empty seats. I didn't notice myself.

Hey if Bale is out for most of summer no-one is going to take a risk on him this summer... I'm sure he will love the Europa again :sneaky:

I'm fine matey. I just don't get people's attitude of "omg this was obviously gonna happen". Total freak injury. No one could have predicted it.
Many people predicted continuing to pursue this competition at full force would prove detrimental sooner rather than later, just the law of averages/probability when we have insufficient resources.

I'll keep saying it - he shouldn't have been on the field.

Yes, U21's don't have to be registered. I'd have them on the bench anyway if Lennon/Bale were fit (a proper wide option), now they are out I'm not joking I would be serious about parachuting one of them into the team and say have a three in behind the striker of: Sig-Holtby-Youngster

Yea I agree, the thing is we've never had any wide option when Bale and Lennon is out, so loaning out the next natural wide player inline Townsend was stupid in the first place. Neither Sig, Holtby, or Dempsey are natural wide players.

I'd get Ceballos or McEvoy on the bench asap, would be Pritchard first if he wasn't injured. Our wide options are looking desperate right now. We've gone from having 2 of the fastest wingers in our team of Bale and Lennon to Dempsey and Sig.

Just who is gonna step up to the plate now and carry the team over the line?

AVB has confirmed it's not a break apparently but either way it's probably a month at best.

Who does you propose gives you width?

I'll grant you this; Lennon will miss Everton MAX. He was running normal obviously was a precaution

No one! Obviously, because there's no one left to do it. We'll have to play midfielders there. But Holtby is the one who should play central. We need possession if we're not going to have pace or Bale's goals.

If I ever see Dempsey in our shirt again it'll be too soon!

Nobody can possibly tell me that any of our promising youth would do worse.
Even the not-up-to-scratch youth players who will be released at the end of the season would have a hard time playing worse than Dempsey.

Ankle ligaments is 6 weeks for a regular guy. I guess 4 weeks for Bale. With the blood-machine.
