Well done Spurs! If we don't lose on Wednesday we are still in the driving seat. I never thought we would be in this position at the start of the season. I really believe we won't lose on Wednesday I just hope we can finish the job at Burnley.

Harry just said on 5Live that Gomes has a groin injury but that he hopes that he'll be fit for Wednesday; if not then confirmed that Alnwick will play.

Redknapp has backed himself into a corner here after taking the piss out of Man City this week about getting a keeper in.

Thought we were wasteful and nervy today. Modric was man marked and didn't get any freedom until late in the game when his marker was subbed for Gardner. Bale did well and got into good positions but on a few occasions his decision making could have been much better. Bentley just seems to hold on to the ball too long. As a result of all this our midfield didnt really create much for our forwards. One or two half chances for Pav, and Defoe created one for himself but that was about it. Kaboul had a very good game.

Really was a funny performance today. We need to be on our game on Weds and not let our nerves get the better of us. More importantly our ball retention has to be better. We can't afford to keep giving it back to City like we did today with Bolton.

Not sure if i have the stomach to watch on Wednesday!

Haven't we just broken our all time best Prem points total today? That's a really good achievement and if anyone had offered this position to us before the season started we'd all have snapped it up.

Great stuff and a great goal today.

Maybe I'm drunk but I'm sure when I left the pub I was celebrating a Spurs victory.

MOTM was Steinson he cut out so much of our attack down the left flank that we ran out of options to attack from. Fortunately a Huddlestone smash was enough today.

Kaboul, King and Dawson were superb today. We need a better performance on Wednesday but we did enough today to deserve the win and it was the win that was important today anyway.

Not sure why Pav is being singled out. Not like Defoe (or Crouch) was much better today, or even in recent weeks/past month.

I'm genuinely a little worried about the quality of our strikers for the future. Sshould we make 4th I think we need to add a bit more quality in this area.

Don't think JD has ever quite got back into the swing of things after his lay-off.

Think there is some stress induced aggression sloshing about in this thread.

Strangely calm for Wed:grin:

Luckily Man City will be just as nervous, if not more so (seeing as they must win more than we do) than us.

There was always a chance todays game would pan out this way. Bolton are a decent side, and they were able to play relaxed and express themselves. It really was a team under pressure vs a team with 0% pressure today.

Job done, onto the next one.

Yes I did, he was limping and shaking his head. As others have said he wanted to come off straight away...

I thought he looked ok after the game. How many times has Gomes played the injury? I saw him shake his head and limped to the 6 yard box but after the game he lost his limp! hence me saying he's OK

Maybe in his mind he thought that feigning injury would waste some time? who knows Gomes is a legend in his and now OUR minds.

That is not sarcastic btw he really is superb

Another huge victory. I'd have taken a 1-0 victory before the game and I'm more than happy with it now. We've surpassed our previous Premier League points record, achieved a new record for PL goal difference (barring a disastrous final couple of games) and almost clinched a top 5 spot. In fact, we could still finish 3rd.

i want to know why bolton were really going for it, i mean they had no incentive, also the ref was very much their 12th man; i won't lie that the thought of the fat arabs paying out has crossed my mind...

vital win anyways, and i just hope we dont bottle it on wednesday (please please please, we deserve it so much more than they do) and controversy does not rear its ugly head (unless its in our favour )
