A few scares... but a well deserved point. (y) a little disappointed we didn't test Cech in the closing few minutes, but i think both teams we happy with a point and willing to see out the last few minutes without incident.

we are top for the table, arsenal to play in the late kickoff...

I'm really really curious what we do on the training pitch, when NOONE is following Terry, the one player to watch in the box. How do we not have someone to man mark him? How does he stand on the six yard box completely alone? When the free kick was takien Terry was BEHIND Dawson, when he got the ball he was like 5 meters ahead, HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN IN THE PREMIER LEAGUE, THE SUPPOSED BEST LEAGUE IN THE WORLD?

Yes.. im fucking pissed.

Because Dawson is ok against lower teams but not good enough(IMO) against top teams!! Overall, all round we didn't try to keep the ball, too many times we just hoofed it away from our 18yrd area!!

Happy with a draw? I can't be. We should have protected our lead much, much better. Two points dropped for me, not one gained.

We lost control of the 2nd half because Mourinho had to change his plan. The Mata/Mikel sub totally swung it as his holding plan wasn't working so they had an extra man gong forward and the quality of Mata no less so we were on the back foot. That's why Soldado and Eriksen drifted out of the game as the gap between them and the rest of the midfield got too big. I think some of our new boys also haven't had to deal with a game at played at that pace yet. I'm probably happy with 1-1 after that because until the red we could well have lost.

Make no mistake, we're getting away with it at the moment but Dawson is quite clearly second rate. I've been saying it for weeks months years. The quicker Kaboul gets back and plays with Jan the better. Dawson is a mid table player at best.

Fair score. We dominated the first, they dominated the second. We should've scored one or two more goals in the first half, but that's the way it goes. Tbh we need Eriksen-Holtby-Lamela....Sig scored and Townsend looked good but Siggy is very anonymous otherwise and Townsend loses his influence in the second half consistently.

I just feel they were there for the taking in the first half, and in the 2nd half we let them back in, and then made dodgy subs. Just cannot for the life of me understand not bringing Lamela on, he has the the talant to change things, and make chances from nothing, far more so than Chadli.
I'll give you that. I honestly thought we could have put the game to bed in the first half. Personally I have no quarrel with the subs AVB made. Playing a team with a technically gifted midfield of Oscar, Mata and Hazard would have needed a more defensive approach anyway. Lamela as gifted as he is wouldn't have been the answer as they had us on the technical side. I just wish Eriksen would have been more involved and pushed the balls out wide a bit more in the 2nd half.

People being a bit harsh on Naughton, he is a back up right back playing at left back... He looks pretty average, was hardly complete shite - He steps up and gives it a good go in a uncomfortable position against top quality attackers.

Agree, he was up against some of the very best in Europe today and he didn't really disgrace himself.

Needed to calm it down in the second half and spend longer on the ball.
Take a point, won't I always?
But we had two good chances to win it late on.
Mind you so did they.
Dembele excellent, too hectic for Eriksen, Paulinho faded.
Would have kept Townsend on and subbed Siggy for Chadli on the left.
No Lamela? Probably didn't want to frighten him this early on.
Soldado assist but not a lot else. Might take him longer to fit in than we hoped.
Big improvement on last year.

I don't get the idea that Lamela is some naive footballer who has never seen high level players before. He's plays on the Argentinean National Team and was the best player on a team with top class talent like Totti, De Rossi, Pjanic, etc.. He's played well against the likes of Napoli, Milan, and others who are all of a high caliber.

I don't think AVB can just Lamela pinned down on the bench and not playing for much longer. We've invested way too much in him for that, and he surely has the expectation of being a regular for us.

Id like to see Sandro, Paulinho and Eriksen midfield 3... Beast is just so much better than Paulinho and Dembele at covering the back 4, he does the work of 2 men.. Paulinho and Eriksen would have free reign to give Soldado the closer support he requires.

I wish we'd played Sandro instead of Paulinho. Paulinho gave the ball away far too often today as I pointed out in the stats earlier in the thread. I like Paulinho but he wasn't very good today.

I'm gutted, very disappointed with our second half performance. Once Mata came on we didn't react at all, should have brought on Sandro as we couldn't get to grips with him at all.

Thank god Torres got sent off as there was only one winner in the second half.

And Dawson, seriously WTF. Your only job is to stop their main aerially threat and you was nowhere to be seen to allow that C*NT John Terry, of all people to score arrrggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhh

HEAT MAP: Mousa Dembélé has been excellent for Spurs. He's completed 100% of his tackles (4) and take-ons (7).
