Let's go buy more captains of national teams and bench them:)

We need to put a fucking sex ban on our players now, only times they can is October/November/December time. Fucking bunch of muppets.

Gallas and Walker need to be dropped. Dawson and Naughton in, can't hurt. Lloris should be number 1 that is obvious. Defoe imo should carrying on starting, he is scoring, the problem is the Dempsey/Sig area, we miss VdV.
Its not a problem with dembele and bale playing as they would both be on the bench. Walker and Gallas have been our weakest link all season and responsible for most of the goals we have conceded.

walker's vendetta against mata and gallas cost us the game. gallas is past it and an experience dc should never have fucked up twice the way he did. friedel not saving that shot is understandable, because prolly only joe hart can get to that. walker's vendetta just proves that hes mentally not up to it. not only hes extremely one footed and technically unsound. his immaturity is really idiotic and disgusting. he blast it to mata, then they have a vendetta. then mata try to ole him. at the end with 4 mins left, mata hounding at the back, wtf does he do? tries to back heel to hit mata's leg. such a fucking retarded decision. got caught in possession and cost us the final chance to equalise. with 4 minutes, anything could have happened. if SAF saw that, what do you think will happen? if it was roy keane's team, what would have happen? i'm utterly disappointed with gallas and walker, then sig and dempsey. bale and dembele would have made this game less tough, but today seriously showed the world what flaws our players have. another heart breaking day for spurs fan.

Granted Lloris should have played, but Freidel can't be blamed for that defeat in isolation. Gallas was utter shite. Walker is too hot and cold and the lack of pace killed us today

I don't know. Chelski's second goal deserved at least an attempted save. We have an agile, young and inconsistent defense that needs an agile, young and responsive goalkeeper. I understand throwing Friedel in hoping that he could add some heart and solidity in the back, but he's just too slow. Lloris needs to be our guy because he fits our system now in addition to our future plans.

Got to take this result with a giant grain of salt. We were without Dembele and Bale for starters, and then add to that Kaboul, BAE, and Parker. Chelsea also spent 100m+ this transfer season soooo...

Alright, next game I want Naughton in at left back, Vertonghen central with Gallas relegated to the bench. Most of all though I want Lloris in for Friedel.

I'd have said bring in Ade for Defoe as well but after that performance I'm not so sure.

Ade has got the ball control of a tree!!

gallas managed to mistime every single fecking thing from his chance in the first minute to his two headers for the first and his clearance for the second he can't make a proper connection with the ball. Sunday league stuff. We were quite poor tbh but I didn't think Chelsea were much better. obviously missed our two best players. seems like Adebayor is behind Defoe in the pecking order which is mystifying. Putting brad back in again was odd as well.
do you think there is a Serie A-esque connection with Gallas' performance - funny how some of his "clearance" attempts were like perfect set ups for chel$ki...

not a serious accusation, just frustrated banter here... :blackeye:

To get anything from that game we needed everyone to be at the top of their game. To say that didn't happen is a massive understatement. Gallas, Walker, Friedel, Hudd, Dempsey, Sig and Livermore were all poor. Was so disappointed by Adebayor's attitude when he came on, just looked like he was sulking. I hope Gallas never plays for us again and Walker is in serious need of some bench time. So annoying as they were there for the taking today and at full strenght I'm convinced we would have beaten them. Would like to see a backline oif Llortis Naughton Caulks Verts BAE for the next game, assuming BAE and Naughton are fit. If Naughton's not fit I'd play Smith, surely can't be any worse than Walker atm

Losing Bale and Dembele utterly fucked us up to start with. They are our best and most important players and both are on the form of their lives. Just look at the highlights of the Wales v Croatia match, Bale took on the Croatians all by himself. Chelsea couldn't deal with Lennon today, imagine how much trouble they would have had with Bale on the other side. Chelsea bossed us in the middle, Hudd has barely played and it doesn't suit us having him and Sandro as a pair because they interrupt each others natural position. If Dembele was there we would have crunched them to pieces in the middle and have that overpowering drive Demebele gives when he turns a player and runs with it.

Props to the lads for how we played in the 2nd half, lennon siggurdson and Adebayor caused a lot of problems. Defoe was sharp when he got put in a good position. Shame Walker and Gallas were fucking WANK. Credit to Vertonghen for some excellent last ditch tackles as well. Can't wait to see us with our best line up with Gallas coming out, Ade starting and linking up with Siggurdson just behind him. We will be amazing so don't get your heads down!

Shoddy defence in the last twenty, if it hadn't been for Verts we'd have given them another goal. Ade was weak passing, wish he'd got aq bit more game time as he looks a bit rusty. Must learn to steady the ship straight after a goal. Two goals against us in 5mins is hard to take too, but Chelsea are a force to be reckoned with at the moment and didn't expect a win without Moussa and Bale.

Stupid internationals cost us again!

Oh well... hopefully we'll bounce back against Soton.

I'm sorry but anyone defending Friedal after that performance really needs to evaluate the players they want to take our club forward. Their first goal came from Friedal not claiming a simple cross on the edge of his six yard box with no one near him. Didn't move for their third. Yes the defending was poor but the defence need confidence from their goalkeeper.

Next game I would be very surprised to see walker, Friedal or Dempsey in our starting line up.

I am furious with that game today bar 20 minutes at the start of the second half.

Livermore twice let players run off him and they ultimately ended up scoring. Poor.

back line needs to be rejigged, need vertonghen and caulker at the back, outside of walker and gallas i think everyone played well and showed great industry, when i saw our starting line up i gave us no hope, i'm just happy the lads gave me a large amount of hope before the inevitablhappened, mom for me would be vertonghen

we have a lots of reasons to be optimistic

line up for next game:

lloris

walker naughton vertonghen
lennon dembele sandro bale
sigurdson
adebayor

I think we'd be stupid to go into the next game with only 10 players

Losing bale and dembele was huge.

But to be honest even if we had them on the pitch the goals conceeded was down to absolutley pathetic defending.

I am baffled to still see gallas in this years squad. And walker yet again keeps making huge mistakes. So poor for a team challenging for a top four.

Thankfully we wont be up against mata hazard and oscar every week.

But my god do we need to buck up our ideas in defence.

I fucking hate it when we have these games at midday. Completely ruins the rest of the weekend's football for me. Won't be able to watch any of it now.

I won't even watch Match of the Day now. Might have to do with reading a book, what have you done Gallas?! :(

Should have made our dominance pay and got the third, different story then :/

Can we please soon just use our strongest XI, Lloris, Ade, and even Naughton

Don't think naughton is good enough to start regularly but walker needs dropped for a couple games
