I wish we had Martinez as manager and given him £100 million to spend. We've gone so far backwards it's frightening

A lack of urgency, pressing, invention, tempo with the addition of poor defending and woeful passing. For the most part this has been a horrible season. Don't really know how we're still in top 6.
Agree with all of that but would add that there has been a serious lack of movement when we have the ball.

I can't see how many can be happy with Sherwood being our manager. There is no improvement in our tactics, if anything we've regressed in terms of cohesion

Still leaves the problem of Lennon.

I would still keep him on just now. With 2 wide men, we might be able to stretch the game a little.
He hasn't been great, but I think we still need him on.

Seriously Dawson and Lennon can't be starting players! How is it possible?

Well as for Dawson, look how Jan has been playing since coming back and think how rusty Kaboul would likely look. Hope we get Vlad back quickly though and Jan & Vlad make sound partnership. But as for now, can see why Dawson is starting.

Lennon is just so poor, you would think as he got more experienced he'd add more variation to his play, but it's the same old predictable shit from him everytime.

Yet again when our defenders have the ball the midfield and bentaleb in particular stop fucking moving and giving the defense options like they are using the opportunity to have a rest disgrace . Not as Bad a performance as some on here are crying about but we can do a lot better. Coys

i think people are frustrated because we are the home team. We should be all over them.

the thing I hate most about Sherwood is he don't seem to do anything during games, wouldn't surprise me to see no subs again unless we have an injury, seems out of his depth.

One of Dembele, Paulinho, Bentaleb should be replaced with Capoue/Sandro - I.e. A proper ball winner, the current trio just don't screen the back four very well as a unit.

Look, let just be honest. We don't have the players to play quick, high tempo football - just not enough genuine ball players. Given that, let's play to our strengths; we have pace and width on the flanks if we choose to utilize it. Playing one up front and a narrow, central game isn't going to cut it. Soldado and Townsend on for Lennon and Paulinho/Bentaleb, and lets have an f-ing go at them.

So glad we stopped all that fancy high line pressing rubbish because it obviously isn't working for Everton :)

I saw Lennon trying to make some space for himself but no one wanted to pass to him....
Eriksen, Dembele and paulinho were all poor...

I really really want Sherwood out. This is terrible. We have no shape, no movement and no clue. To top that all off he keeps picking players like Lennon (who has been poor), Dawson (who is currently a liability) and Bentaleb (when Capoue would clearly be a better option).
Winner. I just can't see the system we're looking to employ. Poor tactics, no clue so far. Only way we can win is if Everton performance levels drop off considerably. At the moment this game is only going one way.

What's the plan? What's the vision? Where's the flow?
Players have already said that TS doesn't ask them to think too much about what the opposition are going to do and we are seeing the evidence. Did he really not think that Everton would not target our weaker left side of Rose & Eriksen as well as Walker's lack of positioning? What gets me is we don't have a plan to release the ball early to lennon when Baines has pushed forward. We don't seem to have learned from the Merseyside derby. Townsend's pace should have been employed from the start. We're lucky that they don't really have a striker on the pitch. They know all about us. We haven't surprised them.
As for individuals, they've clearly studied what Dembele does and are pressing him. Eriksen clearly needs to play in the middle or not at all. Where exactly is Paulinho supposed to be playing or doing?
OK I've had enough of Bentaleb now. He may be a promising replacement for Dembele in the future but I've seen junior players who can defend better, don't turn their back and adopt the correct body shape.
