In before the rage.... I think it's a reasonable team and bench for what it's worth!

Pretty underwhelming team and subs bench but fingers crossed new signings will change both of those...

Interested to see Mason in the number ten role.

No clue why Carroll is on the bench over a handful of players who would be more useful

My god that midfield, so slow and static. It just looks easy to defend against. At least Mason is further forward as he does look for Kane a lot but fails more than not with the long ball attempts, maybe being closer to him will make a difference.

Doesn't leave me feeling very optimistic at all though.

Very conservative line up once again, with very little pace or creativity. Like the look of the bench though. COYS!

We havnt got any you plum!
And we should celebrate that because?

And we do have another striker - one who's been top scorer for us in 2 seasons during his spell at WHL - available, but we're choosing not to play him.

At least Mason gets a chance at 10. So depressing there's no Son or N'jie. Reminds of how we had to wait for Lloris to take over from Friedel. How can one or both of them not be on the bench?
Son not available yet, needs a work permit and international clearance. Agreed that would have been nice to see N'Jie on bench.

Looks a solid line up! COYS

EDIT: just seen post above that N'Jie unfit

No surprises there. Was hoping to see Alli start. I hope him and Pritchard get some game time. Good to see Rose back.

No striker and no pace AGAIN. Looks like we will be playing the same slow-shit again and loose more points. Looking forward to the next game after the window shuts. Hoping we can win 1-0 or something.

That team shows our desperate need for players in key positions. It would have been nice to see Clinton on the bench but he is clearly not ready. Also would have been nice to see Pritchard start but again he us clearly not fit enough.

Not a strong side by any means but I'm hopeful!

Looking again I can't believe how far that team is from what I'm sure a lot of us want back. Fast wingers, pace, creativity and slickness in the team. *Sighs*

I'm glad Dembele is playing. Looks like it should be a 4-3-3 with Bentaleb, Dier, and Mason in the middle, but I didn't think Pochettino did anything other than 4-2-3-1.

No one said anything about celebrating it, but you are either deluded or do not follow the club properly if you thought another striker was going to be on the bench.
