He's fit enough for half an hour. I don't get this from Poch- last week he wasn't with the group enough so he didn't play- yet players like Pedro and Inler played almost immediately after their moves, with Pedro even getting a goal and an assist.

Although did he have a slight injury problem before we signed him? I suppose that could explain it.

I honestly can't bare the way Poch does this delaying their debut nonsense. Trippier should be playing too. We need goal threat and players who can create chances in and around the box. We looked devoid of options with Chadli and lamela last week. Who cares if he's unfit, sub him if he looks tired!

I agree it's very frustrating. Even more so because of how lacking we are. In terms of our team I'm actually at the point where if we send out the usual looking side that we have the last few weeks I'm already in a pessimistic state of mind, that's how much work I think our team needs. I'd be a bit more enthusiastic if we had Trippier/Alli/Pritchard there because I really think the team is desperate for new blood.

He will do the same thing with SON/Other New Signings after international break, because he 'came back late'/'only just trained with team' :(

Everton are on their 3rd choice left back... Will we..

A) play the same slow inverted crap and not test him all game, or

B) let Trippier or Clinton take a run at him.

I am hoping Pritchard is fit for the game and drop Lamela regardless.

My XI

Lloris,
Tripper (hopefully), Toby, Vertonghen, Rose,
Dier, Mason,
Prithchard/Dembele, Alli, Chadli,
Kane

Pochettino has spoken about Njie, claiming he isn't fit enough yet. Probably won't be in the squad again then.

Hope John Stones situation unsettles them. Regardless , to win, we have to play way better than we have been playing this season.

I'd have played tripp from the off against united. I'd have also given Onomah some minutes by now.

This is the one thing that gets to me - speed of integration of new talent.

He will bring them through; just not fast enough for me though, could do with being a bit less cautious in this regard.

Taking my lad to the game on Saturday and he would like to get some autographs. Where is the best place to try and get them and what times?

What tunnel thing, outside the main entrance?
I was mucking about mate...I honestly wouldn't know now...last season a lot of players were using that temporary car park in Paxton Rd, but I think it's completely shut off to traffic now, I'd guess they all use the main car park at the front.
If u ever get the chance just go to the training ground on a weekday, they tend to leave between 1 and 2 in the afternoon...most are happy to stop for an autograph and a picture.

Nice one, may do that over half term etc. Cheers.

Lloris
Walker/Toby/Jan/Davies
Bentaleb/Dier
Dembele/Eriksen/Chadli
Kane

Mason on for Bentaleb between 60th-68th minute
Alli on for Dier between 72nd and 76th minute

Poch "gameplan". Ready for use in all scenarios.

Completely agree. Its like pooch wants them fit for this "pressing: that we Rarely/ Never actually do.

Some players can play off instincts, they don't need to be fully fit. Remember bale when he came back from his ankle against man city and for the rest for the season etc.

Not fit is a load of nonsense this guy has had a pre season.

Well hopefully Rose will come straight back in, I've been underwhelmed by Davies if I'm honest.

It feels like he is establishing who is control of who plays, as like you said, this fit for pressing argument doesn't even prove out. If anything, other teams do a lot more pressing than we do and look fitter ATM. Can't stand it. Reminds me of avb trying to have everyone (playing out of position) to his 'philosophy', rather than allowing them to show their skills and attack. (Soldado playing as alone striker).
Townsend's demise seems to have stemmed from him having to stop shooting all the time, but clearly running, coming to a shuddering stop and coming in on his left foot to pass or pass back, was hardly an improvement. The one time he just went for it on the left wing, he ran the length of the pitch and scored iirc. Collective responsibility for defending is great, but I'd rather we had two solid dms and players to rotate with them, a la sandro and dembele and just allow the front four to go and score and connect as attackers should.
