A very encouraging 1st half. Playing well as a team...some good touches and passes...should have been in front.
We have some talented young players and if we can keep them, the future is very bright indeed.

Rose playing well as usual.

Dembele isn't doing much on the right. He's not making those runs and I can't wait to see what the likes of Clinton and Son can do there.

Mason making good runs and passes, and Dier is being solid. With Dier playing the anchorman role Bentaleb should be pushing up more. I'd swap Bentaleb for Alli and Pritch for Dembele in the 2nd half.

We are apparently desperate for a defensive midfielder, it seems to me something further forward is a priority

For me having Dier in the squad negates the need to buy an out and out DM like Wanayama. What we need is more of a midfield general type.

I would compare that half and in all honesty the season thus far as that lazy Friday night shag when you know you have had one too many and you don't really fancy her but you think fuck it I will do the bare minimum and just go through motions and eventually we agree there's no real penetration to be had here.

Glaring lack of quality letting us down today. Overall, the play has been absolutely fine, it's just those moments when a player can really make a difference that we're not.

Hoping Son will have that quality, but I still think we need more.

I like Dier and glad he's doing so well in a DM position. Also think Mason is doing in no 10 position. Overall its been a fairly good first half with everything considered. I expect us to get stronger in second half and Everton to weaken. Also its bizarre how some people can't seem to wait to jump on Kane for a miss. He got loads of goals for us last season and clearly thrives on confidence. Glad our fans at the game reminded him of our support after the miss

Mason hasn't done half as well as most are making out. He's not creative enough and his movement and positioning to find holes in between the lines is about as bad as it gets. We need clever heads to create openings in games like this. Dembele and Mason are just unimaginative and toothless, which is why our play is so turgid and predictable.
He had the best run of the half and a great scoring opportunity?
