Would have definitely rested Paulinho and given Bentaleb a start and disappointing not to even see Ade on the bench - seriously what's going on here?!

On the flip side, hugely warming to see Capoue back on the bench although I wouldn't necessarily want to see him come on.

Not expecting much again down the left and I'm really hoping that Lamela and Eriksen step up their game a notch and prove their quality.

If Ade can't even get on the bench for this match and he is not injured, then he is finished IMO.

I would rather we go out of the domestic cups, play less matches and have less injury risks then qualify for CL football.

I'd rather we attempted to win something as whenever Spurs fans make jokes about the dust in the Arsenal trophy cabinet it reminds me that they've won a hell of a lot more in the last 30 years than we have.

Why do we have to pick and choose between CL qualification and silverware?

WHL sold-out which is a bit of a surprise!

Can I be the first to suggest the conspiracy theory that this has all been a ploy to sell out our remaining Carling Cup/Europa games. Levy the canny fucker.

My predictions for this evening:

Lamela to get his first touch 2 minutes into the game. AVB subs him 3 minutes later.

Siggy to do nothing for 99% of the game, then score a tap in that keeps him in the team for another 10 anonymous matches.

Naughton to misplace a cross and inadvertently (and incomprehensibly) burn down Park Lane as a result.

Friedel to take Walker away and read him a nice bedtime story.

Surprised we havent been hearing him backing the boys on twitter, normally pipes up when he thinks he might get a kick.

I guess he has come to your conclusion too.

What is going on with Chadli!? Is he in the dog house for some reason. Feel sorry for the lad, was looking forward to seeing him.

Lets see how it goes today - Must admit, not a huge fan of Lamela - just hurts me the 30M we spent on this lad- very interested in how he gets on today. Of course will be cheering him on. Just wish ADE was given a start - we really need strikers. CoYS

naughton has to be the worst plyer i seen in spurs shirt in many years.. rapidly approaching the ginger pele standard haha absolute shocking full back either side. how does he seriously get a game?

id play friedel left back before this guy seriously , offers nothing. Sorry but true.

I don't think anyone knows what has gone on behind the scenes, but he had a good first season and a bad second season. If we are not going to give him a chance then yes I agree he should have gone in the summer because once again we find ourselves a striker short.

Just imagine if lloris god forbid went to catch from a corner and came away injured tonight

Agree vertonghen could use a break but Dawson should be rested to as it stands until Kabul is fit. It should be Vlad out there instead, he needs to get up to speed, everton on Sunday is gonna be a baptism of fire for him

Vertonghen was left at home for the Moldova trip the guy cant have every other match off, and he probably doesn't want too
