Oddly, I don't feel very confident about getting a result today, if we play like we did against Madrid I can see us winning but I am worried about how the players are going to react given the book that has just come out and I am also concerned we are going to try and play against Pool like we have done every other time which just gives them the tactical advantage.

I just think things like the book are ill-advised during a season and especially right before such an important game, it was honest but just bad timing imo.

I am likely just overthinking it because we never seem to get a decent result against Pool and I am even more nervous given the fact it is at Wembley and we just had such a great result against Madrid, seems perfectly set up for us to get a tonking lol.

Me too, their high energy game seems to unsettle us on the ball and their pace and movement when they have possession has seen us struggle to cope in recent seasons.
We need to be bang at it today and take our chances, their defence will always give up a chance or two and we need to be brave in possession but also be prepared to play it long if they swarm over us at the back...we've given up goals before trying to play our way out against these.

Oh and don't let Coutinho cut inside on is right foot, also no dodgy fouls around the box please....

Yeah, pretty spot on summary Steve.

I hope we mix it up tactically dependent on what's happening at different spells in the game.

Sit a bit deeper and stay compact, win it back and counter like we did to Dortmund.

Or like you say, go long where we need to.

Playing a high line with a low tempo is recepie for disaster against these lot.

We're a much better team than these fuckers but seem to have some sort of mental block over them in recent seasons. Hopefully today is the day we show our superiority.

Off to my local where there will be about 40 Liverpool supporters....and me !. I shall be wearing my Spurs shirt and have just had a text from the Landlord to say he's having 'segregated seating'....cheeky bugger.
Let's hope we turn these bastards over today and show them just how bad their defence really is....COYS !!
