Barring 20 yard pot shots, Defoe is just awful at all aspects of football. What the hell is he doing as a starting lone striker.

This is painful to watch. Worst Half I have seen for a long time. The players look clueless.

gallas has been awful again, so lucky to get away with that, defoe and gallas need to come off, offer nothing

We just have to be more compact, this is bizarre. Way too far apart from each other.

Was having a smoke so just saw the replay of that save, fantastic!

Shame the rest can't play like that today.

Should just bring on huddlestone if we need creativity but I don't think he's fast enought to play the fast pace football Avb plays, ah well

How to play against Spurs at home. Park the bus and catch them on the break or from set pieces...easy peasy

Brads kept us in this twice.

Anyone know if di matteo fancies trying to sort out this mess for a second time?

If not, can anyone think of any managers who are jobless at the moment? Sort of bloke who can sort out 2 points from 8 games?

this is getting bloody embarassing, we be lucky to get a top 10 finish based on the first 2 and half games, considering the teams we faced
We're playing against a poor team apparently...wait till we meet a Top 5 team. This is so embarassing and depressing.

What was it i posted in the "Defoe signs 3 year deal thread" !! oh yes I remember
"A consistent First Team place for an inconsistent player.!"

We obviously couldn't get who we wanted - yet. Spurs, by virtue of being a professional football club and not being stupid, know we can get better than Defoe but are better off waiting to replace him with someone we want than replacing him now with someone we don't. They also know that his value drops as his contract runs out and he's been makng noises about being assured of his future. Both of which are fixed with a new contract.
