Don't be so bloody sexist.

Hollywood makes a mean pork pie and if I want to follow how he makes his pastry, that is up to me.

Actually the truth is the only thing I don't like about the show is that sticky-haired twat.

I just learned that Forrest fielded a heavily weakened team. There really isn't a great deal of hope for us is there, at least not with that squad. Same old story.

I remember watching a fearless Bentaleb come on against Southampton and we were all impressed with how he was willing to try and make things happen despite such inexperience. Now over time I notice someone who has gone back into his shell and it makes me wonder whether this could be down to the fact that our fans (especially at home) are so unforgiving when someone misplaces a pass? Sometimes for this lot it's just easier to play that simple 5 yard ball. Just an idea.

but a true winner doesnt care. A true winner knows and believes in his ability. If players are scared of the people that pay their wages then i dont want them in the team. Bentaleb is paid to play football, that clearly shows faith in his ability as a footballer.

So what I saw from this match.
Bentaleb hardly tracks te runner and passes sideways a lot. The passing is probably to do with the lack of intelligent movement from our attacking players. Should never be played as a defensive midfielder.
Townsend. Plays for himself IMO. Doesn't have a footballing brain. Doesn't have a crafty pass in him. Shame as he has something about him that frightens fullbacks.
Neither should start against the goons.

I'm all for our players doing something that's out of the ordinary. It's what turns games. His passing yesterday was dire. Over hit. Under hit. Fabregas he isnt, but by now he should have enough experience in the 1st team to have a good range of passing.
I quite liken him to the Hudd, but not as polished yet.

Don't be so negative. Man utd were hammered by mk dons. I'm sure most of this forest 11 would make the mk dons first 11.

I guess you could argue that man utd haven't exactly covered themselves in glory so far this season either but that's another discussion.

He's 19, he has years ahead of him.

We were at home though. But you're right, they were more than beaten, though I'm tempted to say theirs was a much poorer and inexperienced squad than ours, with a useless defence of 3, 2 of which were school boys and Forrest would be all over them in a bigger way than against us.

Come the end of the season, I could be with you, right now I'm against you're opinion.

True that. Although our back four/five (counting Vorm) haven't had much time on the field together either.

We didn't cover ourselves in glory but job done and at least we're through to the next round. :)

If ever there was a true winner it was Roy Keane - and he complained famously about the atmosphere inside Old Trafford.

They call the fans a 'twelfth man' because we can make a positive contribution, not so we can sit there carping like Simon Cowell.

Glad to get a win as i couldnt handle the prospect of three defeats in a week but as some have said already We were awful for 60-70 mins and then got a bit of luck with masons goal providing the lift everyone needed.
But nothing should detract from the fact We were clueless and lacklustre.

Watched the first half and the only player I am interested in is Stambouli. Man breaks up plays and has a decent pass on him. Should just be sitting back and covering play rather than going forward.

What I would really like to look at is the pitch map of our passing to see if it confirms that for the first 60 odd minutes there was still too much sideways and backwards passing. Not to mention our 2 attacking mids were receiving the ball with their back to goal and playing it straight back to the person that passed them the ball.
This drives me nuts and has been going on since AVB all over the pitch. It's as if the player with the ball doesn't want it and just passes for passings sake. Even if the guy you're passing to has someone up his arse, is facing the wrong way and actually running towards you. Just give him the ball. All he can do is kick it straight back at you and we're now under pressure but hey who cares. Just look at those pass completion and possession stats. Fucking beautiful.

Was puzzled to see Nabil as our deepest lying CM at times. I would have thought Stambouli would have been asked to sit in front the back four and shield them ( allowing him to cover for our CB's when they went on marauding runs). I think that played a big part on why Nabil was constantly playing the safe pass and at times refusing to drive forward when there was space afforded to him. I think him playing in front of a Capoue --- Dembele/Stambouli 3man CM will accelerate his attacking threat and allow him to use his vastly underrated dribbling ability, not to mention his fairly potent shot.
