Would love us to win convincingly but I think we will scrape this one. A dodgy 1-0 or a 2-1 after we go behind first.

On the train heading up to the hallowed turf now... Proper buzzing for this which I didn't see happening after the depths I fell to under Sherwood last year.

But a new man and a new season-let's get behind Poch and the lads like we used to and make the lane a fortress.

Ahh first home game of the season. Walking back into the old stadium after three months apart. Smelling the freshly cut grass. Sun shining on the pitch. I have missed you white Hart Lane.

Let's get behind the team
Welcome back Harry
And then smash the billy goat out of these west London wannabes.

Can't wait for this one! I've got to go to a bloody barbecue this afternoon at a colleagues' s house so praying that I can get Internet access to watch it on the laptop!
We must win this one and I think we will.

1.30pm game on Sky tomorrow is Stoke v Hull. Surely this would be a better game with a few good connections as well as being a London derby?! The Harry factor alone should've been enough for it to be a Sky game.
Sky must think we will win. Otherwise they would be over this game and the Harry circus like a rash. Next week we play their beloved Liverpool and they expect us to lose. Oh, surprise surprise, we are on.

Pumped for this game

Didn't make it to the Schalke game due to a stag due at the races so will be my first game of the season and its been a long summer without the lilly whites

Hoping for a big win with goals and strong performances from the likes of Lamela, Soldado and Erkisen but if I am honest I'm expecting a tougher game and I would take any type of win so we can go into the Liverpool game with 6 points and then even a draw would represent a great start to the season for us

Bit of a must win game because the league is going to be so competitive this year (for the CL and even Europa places anyway) that we can't afford to be dropping points at home to the likes of QPR (no disrespect to them its just the state of play)

I'll be watching in South Africa, wishing I could be at the game! I'd take 3 points anyway we can get it today....I know a good performance will set the tone for our home season so I'm expecting the lads to aim for a good showing. I don't expect vintage spurs, but seeing a little more cohesive play between our midfield and front 3 + a more certain back line performance will go a long way to restoring player and fan confidence...I can't wait!! Watching it on Fox Sports 2. The beer is full of fridge and am expecting us to scrape a 1 0. COYS

I mentioned this in another thread, but I think their 3-5-2 will become a 5-3-2 with their wingbacks getting pushed back and back. That means there will be very little space to work through, so I think today's result is really dependant on Eriksen's performance.

Also I'd go with Capoue and Bentaleb as the CM 2. More Defensive minded then Dembele or Paulinho to break up counters and Nabil can move the ball forward quicker then Sandro.

I can see your logic, but I fear it might lead to an AVB-ish performance, with basically us have 4 attacking players trying to thread through 6/7 defensive QPR players - a sort of unfair attack versus defence, albeit one where they've got no chance of scoring.

I'd prefer if Poch rolled the dice, went 442 with Dembele and Bentaleb in the middle, and Lamela and Erikson on the flanks, so we can have a go at them with 6 attacking players and accept slightly more risk at the back.

Any word on the line up? Really mostly concerned about who's in defense personally.

pretty sure it'll be lloris; dier, kaboul, vertonghen, rose; capoue, bentaleb; eriksen, lamela, lennon; adebayor

going to be lots of melting when godado only makes the bench.
