I made the point as recently as last week that our 7 new signings scored 35 goals and had 25 assists last season, which was a solid return considering they injuries many of them suffered, and the numerous times they were dropped by AVB and Sherwood.

Some people said as recently as a few days ago that we should somehow take last summer's transfer window as evidence that buying players doesn't help a football club progress. Well, that has shown to be completely wrong, as it was always the players who were with us going into last season that let us down, and not the new lads.

Chadli, Eriksen, and Lamela look incredible. I don't think we've seen them start ONCE since they signed last season. What a difference it makes to drop the likes of Townsend and Lennon.
