I won't mark as 'disagree' but ' fantastic for 75 minutes' ? I just don't see where you get this from. I'm not sure Stoke got that lucky. The penalty was soft, but Toby didn't argue about it at all,it was a Lamelaesque challenge

75 is pushing it but stoke needed a soft penalty to get back in. The game likely fizzles out of we see that spell out.

We had a great chance through kane not long before he went off. That goes in we win comfortably. Small margins.

Yes we came under pressure but 99% of teams don't go through a game without having to weather some kind of storm from the opposition.

It's like some people expect us to go every game 20-5 on shots. Football doesn't work like that.

I hope they've sort their heads out by the time I walk into the Lane for the Everton match. Hopefully we'll have done our business by then, but with Levy I have no fucking idea. Levy should be happy he sits in the library that is the West stand. If he sat in the Park or Shelf he'd have been eaten alive today

People can moan all they like about Pochettino but I feel sorry for him. He has been left without any options up front and feels like he has to play Dembélé as a winger/whatever because the lack of quality in the squad. This is after two leauge games, that is fucking rubbish. I thought this summer would be different (silly me) when we sorted out or defensive signings quite fast but no, I was wrong.

Fantastic maybe is pushing, but we created some great chances. Kane and Mason have a good understanding and the whole team seemed to be on the same page. I think too, we really looked solid at the back, first half in particular.

Can we make one thing clear, Kane came off because he was injured. I keep seeing people slate Poch for taking Kane off as if he chose to do so.

Pochettino said he came off due to being tired. Although he did have an icepack on when he went off.

Poch, sign a bloody defensive midfielder and another striker. NOW
You think Poch hasnt been asking for them?

Levy:" So, what would you like in the transfer window, a Striker maybe?"

Poch "Nah I'm all right with just the one cheers"

Bottom line is Baldy needs to stop fucking about and pay the money.

I think it's quite reasonable to suggest that had we got our main targets secret earlier in the window and allowed then to have a preseason together we would secured between 3 and 4 points instead of the 1 we find ourselves with now

Those extra 2-3 points could be very costly come the end of the season

Worse still is it potentially puts pressure on us if we lose our next match or fail to win in the next 2-3 games

Ramos suffered like that after a poor transfer window

Pochettino needs to realise quickly that this 4231 isn't conducive to the players at his disposal.

This performance will be repeated this season if we don't accommodate players in preferred positions and better in game management is utilised.

This needs to be remedied first before we look to new signings as a saviour to our hopes.

If Levy didn't sell our managers short we wouldn't be this mediocre team I see now. If you'd told me 3-4 years ago we'd be this stale boring shite I'd have told you you're lying. It's easy to turn on the manager. Turn on the one consistent who been through all this shit. For once we need to turn on Levy.

We were fine first 15 of second half, went to crap when Mason and Kane came off, and Lamela was one of them.

I really want Lamela to come good but it was clear he was going to offer nothing every time the ball went to him at 2-2. He can't beat a man in the prem. At some point we need to call it a day, we can't keep carrying him hoping something clicks. He works as hard as anyone but just can't make a difference.
That's the problem, isn't it? He was bought to be the player that beat the opponent, opened up space and caused problems for opposing defences. I've not completely given up yet on him; the pressing issue is getting hold of another Forward and a CDM. Is Bentalab just a younger, less experienced Jenas?

How did that happen!!!

Could point fingers, but the pen changed the game, the momentum shifted and that is the PL for you.
Exactly, we can argue until the cows come home about whether the pen was legit... I really don't think it was. The Stoke lads legs came flying out from under him without a challange. He was outmuscled and off balance on the turn. He bought it.

... And it changed the game. End of story. We could easily have ridden that game out. We didn't. Stoke rallied and got their draw. Sometimes, that's just how it goes.

Look at what happens when technically poor/average players like Diouf or Gomis play with fight and spirit and hunger for 90 minutes. They become dangerous Premier League frontmen.

It's what makes Suarez so great - he is technically excellent but also has the fighting spirit.

We have a bunch of very talented, gutless players picking up paychecks and showing up for bits and pieces of every match.

Fucking legend.

And yes, we need a 2nd striker on the bench and the subs were ineffectual. But we were in trouble once the pen went in. We were unlucky. We play like the first 75 mins every week and we'll win most games.

We keep throwing defenders after defenders in there, ruining careers.
At what point do we have a look at the tactics?
