Spurs fans are just so negative. Teams lose, it just happens sometimes. Fortunately we lose very, very few games.

We started very slowly last season and it may be worse this year because of the euros but surely it doesn't warrant the meltdown some on here seem to be having?
My post was about our performance to date, not about results. Last season even when we lost the few games we did, at least there was a satisfaction that we gave it our all. The same cannot be said about this season even when we win (Crystal Palace). I am not going to play the hypocrite and pretend that all is honky dory, so take your "Spurs fans are so negative " statement and shove it where the sun doesn't shine..

Great to be back at the Lane for a proper home game. Whilst there are no easy games it is one we should win. I'd settle for another clean sheet and a couple of goals ftom Janssen or Kane (whichever one plays). We need to keep in the mix at the top even in these early weeks.

We'll I'm on my 4 hour coach to London for today's match. Super excited. This is the third time I've seen this fixture and so far it's 1 win and 1 loss (the 4-2 where Gomes saved 2 pens from Bent).

COYS!

I feel you. But last season we started a lot worse, we win today and we are in the top 4, after two tricky away games at Everton and Stoke (who won't be bottom for long) and a tough game against Liverpool who people have been raving about. We had a lot of players at the Euro's and we had a real big season last year, there was always going to be a bit of a hang over, mentally its tough on a young team.

But, we are in the mix still and playing poorly, that's a great sign. The only team playing well is City, with Liverpool in patches, United, Arse, Chelsea are not blowing teams away. Let's get out expectations in line. We have developed more than any other team over these last 5 years. Let's not forgot where we have come from to where we are now. We are an actual team that every other team doesn't look forward to playing, we are finally becoming a top club. I'm sure we will find our rhythm, the performances aren't there but come on, we have one of the best GK's in the world, one of the best CBs in the world, some of the best young players in the world and have just strengthed our team with players that would walk into any club outside the top 6 and this is without Dembele, who is one of if not the most important player in our team.

It will come....

Usual back 5, Wanyama and Moose, Eriksen, Alli and Lamela, Janssen.

Gives Dier and Kane a rest without necessarily weakening us and still leaves Sissoko, Son and even Kane to come on if required. Perfect

Another 4-0 would be nice but I'd take a 95th min, deflected own goal, 1-0 win.

We have real competition for places in every position (maybe apart from GK and defence) and those who have been watching from the bench could make a real statement of intent. I'd start Jansen, Sissoko, Dembele, Wanyama, and rest the likes of Kane, Dier, Lamela etc.

I have a feeling the players will want to put on a show today - play with some confidence and a bit of swagger.
Wanyama and Janssen can easily deputise too - just need to go out and press their nuts off and show off that superior fitness - done it before!!!

They may want to put on a show but it could easily go the other way. Sunderland will put everyone and everything behind the ball and if we struggle to get a break through then you can just sense the crowd getting on the players back.

Could go either way for me, a comfortable 3 nil win or a shit 1-1 draw.

Something does seem to be lacking right now. Perhaps the upheavals with having to play at Wembley and the state of WHL are unsettling for the players but I make no excuses for them. Heart and passion are much needed right now. Billy Nick, you knew all about this and wherever you are perhaps you could channel some of this into our team.

Signed the petition, I was number 14,554.

As for today's game, it's my first of the season (not counting mid week at Wembley) as I was on holiday before. I sit North lower so it will be interesting to see the gap in the corner, also how the new ground is progressing.

As for Sunderland, we should have too much for them IF Poch has given everyone the wake up call they appear to need. We shouldn't need a first slow 45 before we get going - hopefully today is the start of the intensity we need to see from minute 1.

Hopefully our old boys Defoe and Kaboul don't feel the need to have their best game of the season but it's what I'm expecting.

Up the Spurs!

Edit: Just seen Kaboul is now at Watford? When did that happen?

Whenever they are expected to do summatt they implode.
Loads of hype from the press
No real quality or commitment
Shouldn't be a worry to us at the weekend if we have confidence
Have arsed team of wage-pickers
Fukin hate the London boys like they've arrived somewhere we haven't
Spurs are just nowt and very very beatable with the right attitude

Cmon Moyesey get them wound up for this one

While i still agree with Enfieldyiddo there is always one. Lol

I hope Son starts. Against Stoke, he showed his instinct to score quality goals. He needs a good run in the team to really kick on. I'd also be keen to look at Sissoko- if they sit back, which they probably will, he can bulldoze through them. Drop Eriksen, who has been decent for 60 minutes this season, with either Lamela or Dele in the CAM role. Wanyama will likely start, most likely alongside Dembele. I'd also be keen to see Vince start, with Kane rotated with the option of some second half game time. Poch made it very clear this week he wants to see passion in his players; Janssen is boiling with intensity
