I think that covers what alot of people on here think of spurs and their chairmen but my argument is they would say the same thing if zippe and bungle were chairmen..

we will never be anything more than what we are at moment... just when we get real chance to kick on and be a serious team with 4 or 5 real top and clever signings this summer he dumps harry for off the field clashes and issues and replaces him with a a 34 yr old naive manager and living off a reputation of one great seaosn in porto , a league that has what maybe 3 good teams????

ill keep saying it but managers these days are all full of it just as much as players themselves but to be a top manager all you have to do is identify a bloody good player when u see one.. harry had that in spades and had the ability to put a real good team together. what held him back is chairman like levy who refuses to splash the cash in anyway shape or form to really strengthen first team . while harry is far from saint he is million times manager avb will ever be . i see absolute nothing different in spurs play , tactical play in 2 games so far and he is coaching team since start of july.. 2 games or not.. i think he is a chancer like 95% of managers out there. living off name or reputation but that will soon go away.


i expect the usual suspects on here to bring up leeds and lets become leeds bullshit but as long as levy gets people splashing out on season tickets and appeasing fans with maybe one big name a summer or selling a top name every couple of seasons for big money he is happy out. we will go on but win fuck all.. i think i said enough haha, just had an awful moment reflecting on game today when i saw livermore and jenas running the show hahaha,,, seriouis statement of intent there..

massive massive massive week ahead.. lets see what ' the man levy ' delivers. tbh sick of all the talk of spurs and how good things are.. the start of seasonw hen statements of intent shoulc be made about season ahead and we produce two games like that which were absolute pants at best and people trying to blag them off as a slow burner and unlucky.. its typical spurs.

Unbelievable, i missed the game because of fucking TRAFFIC.

Stuck on the M11 from about 1:25pm until around the end of the match. Fantastic. Fan fucking tastic.

Not only did i miss the game, missed the Ledley King thing, missed the home debuts of 3 players AND our manager

I didn't want AVB as our manager as I just don't rate or like the guy. His croaky darlik sounding voice just gets to me.

This is no where near as bad as 2008. In 2008 we were awful and tactically shocking. We were disorganised and a joke with no positives.

In the two league games thus far (admitted, I've seen neither but followed on radio etc.) we've had concentrated periods where we bossed it and been pretty unlucky. Or so it has sounded. I therefore do not think that we're near the 2008 depths yet.

This might come back to bite me on the a**e but I can see us going on a decent run and feel pretty confident.

The fact that we aren't playing that different to before is a positive as far as AVB goes in my opinion. He is playing with Defoe as sole striker, no Scott Parker (one of our best last year) an no modric (vitally important to us) and is still having us play good football for parts. Once we get a "modric" type back and Ade settles back in to fitness we will seem a different prospect. He is working with what he has and isn't looking a disaster but we do need to improve our team or he is going to face an uphill struggle.

i believe JJ when he says he is telling porkies but proff will be in the pudding next friday night... massive changes needed and if AVB is all he says he is then will demand at least 4 top players in this week .

if he does not then he should save himself alot of brief and walk..but why walk when u getting money for doing fuck all. i mean AVB wud have to be god or jesus himself to improve the likes of defoe, jenas, livermore, ekotto and the like . it simply aint going to happen.

That performance was horrible to say the least. I didnt want AVB but more importantly I didnt want Harry sacked .I am prepared to give AVB time as much as I never wanted the change in the first place. However the defence was awful - panic everywhere no one knew what they were doing and just long balls.

I do not blame AVB totally and blame Levy - the guy needs to fuckin change his ways because he cannot continuously wait till last week of transfer window to buy the players we need. In addition I am unsure why Sig and Vert were brought as these are and were not AVB signings. I would go as far as to say even Ade isnt an AVB signing.

he is just playing it down so when and if spurs do sign big names he will take all the credit ,like levy wil,l and be absolute legends. all about feeding the ego for people like this.
