I kinda get we have bigger priorities but it’s not like we’ve won anything recently. This was for a quarter final place. Very odd the effort the players put in. It’s like they were saving themselves for ManU and Madrid.

That was fuckin terrible. We deserved that to a certain degree with that nonchalant attitude. Shouldn't happen at all - but rather it happened in the mickey mouse cup with mostly backup players than in the leauge - only comfort.

I find this holier than thou attitude towards the result, competition, and opposition absolutely baffling. Yes we have some huge games coming up, but who wouldn't take winning the League Cup this year?

Embarrassing second half performance, and some dreadful decision making from Poch. Why sub Llorente when you're a goal down?!

I hope the players seriously buck their ideas up and soon, with that attitude we won't be seeing a trophy any time soon.

Usually I'd say no I want to win this cup as it's the easiest to win, but not this season. Looks like Arsenal, Man Utd, Man City and Chelsea are taking it seriously this season.

Those sides take it seriously every year.

Winning is a habit. It's like tempo in a game of football. I fucking hate it when people say we have two more gears "if we wanted to". It never works that way. You start off with a slow tempo it's almost impossible to suddenly pick it up and play with more urgency. On the occasions it does happen there is usually a catalyst that gets the crowd up that generates the energy, e.g. a goal, a bad foul etc. It's hardly ever down to the players suddenly and collectively getting together to start playing faster.
Not sure what your point is. Did you not read what I said. We've been here on occasion over the last few years. We always bounce back and put a good run together. I expect the same. Every team loses, even the best ones. We have a tremendous habit of winning. This will not disrupt that.

Need to cut our losses on GNK. He's not good enough.
I hate writing players off because I've had to eat a lot of crow, but the way I see it he's never going to be more than a bench player here so if he can't deliver more than this when he's called upon then I don't know why we should keep him around.

Now it even looks like there'll be little to no opportunity for him to alter that opinion as the only competition he's likely to play in is now over for us.

I also want to make it clear that I do not blame GNK for the loss tonight at all.

never felt like a game spam were fighting for their lives, felt like a game we couldn't be assed and gave to them on a platter, they really didn't have to do too much to win it, we were truly awful 2nd half

It's rather reassuring to know that the Spurs I've watched for 45 years hasn't completely deserted me.

His link up play has been very good but I'm not sure if he's had a shot on goal for us yet.
Lack of service. We put 0 balls into the box whilst he was on the pitch.them bombarded it the moment he was subbed.was staggering watching it.like a team of kyle walkers out there.

Problem is this is arguably the easiest trophy to win as it's the fewest games and it gives all those who say we need to win something impetus. We do need a trophy.

Losing from 2-0 up against West Ham is inexcusable. However, having Poch continually talk down this competition would have some affect on the players.
Yet still bring on Eriksen in the dying minutes to take us into extra time which would have been awful given our schedule. What was the thought process.

We really need Lamela back fit and if he isn’t up to it then we need to invest in another creative attacking midfielder. We rely on Eriksen way to much as is.

Was so disappointed in Dele and Son in the second half, both players drifts around at half pace misplacing passes left, right and centre and trying to over dribble. I really hope Poch gets the hairdryer out, that was a disgraceful second half. No place for that sort of performance at this level.

Whisper it quietly but I haven't been too impressed by Llorente so far. I don't know if it's his lack of pre-season but he looks slow and was jogging around a bit too much for my liking.
Are you for real. His touch is sublime. Not impressed? His pass to Kane should have won us the game at Real, his pass today paved the way for Sissoko's goal. His movement actually reminds me of Berba and he was no lightening bolt. Fernando's alright. It's just that he got taken off when we really needed him.

We’ve now got sky really championing this amazing, historic comeback:ROFLMAO:

Ah well, on to Old Trafford for a game against a title rival, then home in Champions League against Real Madrid.

It’s not all bad.

They’ll remember this for years, despite going out in the next round no doubt. Good luck to them, jammy we absolutely strolled through this game.

Hopefully this annoys the life out of Kane and he is roaring to go this weekend
