Are you for real. His touch is sublime. Not impressed? His pass to Kane should have won us the game at Real, his pass today paved the way for Sissoko's goal. His movement actually reminds me of Berba and he was no lightening bolt. Fernando's alright. It's just that he got taken off when we really needed him.
He hasn't been awful. I have just expected more from him.

Apart from a few good passes here he hasn't done much. He hasn't looked a goal threat and there were points tonight where I thought he showed a lack of desire to get on the end of things.

We played well first half but second half was a mere, We lost against a very poor oppossition who are presently fighting relegation. Why was Poch laughing at the end?. He should have made a couple of subs much earlier.

Those sides take it seriously every year.
I think we did too, we just didn't come out of the dressing room at half time. That's the players not the coach. Poch looked like he wanted to do murders watching that second half display.

I find this holier than thou attitude towards the result, competition, and opposition absolutely baffling. Yes we have some huge games coming up, but who wouldn't take winning the League Cup this year?

Embarrassing second half performance, and some dreadful decision making from Poch. Why sub Llorente when you're a goal down?!

I hope the players seriously buck their ideas up and soon, with that attitude we won't be seeing a trophy any time soon.

Some people are more concerned about downplaying people being pissed off than they are about the result, makes me wonder sometimes.

We just lost to fucking West Ham at Wembley in a competition we had a realistic chance of winning, if you are a spurs fan and you aren't fuming after that then I really don't know what to say.

Instead we have our players on the pitch walking around like they are already multiple trophy winners and fucking about, think some of them need bringing back down to earth after that.

I can't understand why GKN is here if he's just goign to play the last 7 minutes of League Cup ties. Wouldn't those minutes be much better utilised if given to the likes of Edwards/Bennetts/Shashoua?

Still can't work out the Llorente sub just as we start sticking balls in the box. Amateur hour all round tonight.

It was baffling. Terrible sub. He should have taken Sissoko off and put Eriksen on. Gone to a 5212 with Alli and Dier in central midfield, Eriksen behind the front two and Son playing off the shoulder of Llorente so that we could try and exploit flick ons as another potential avenue to a chance.

Alli is starting to infuriate me though. He needs to take a step back and start playing more simple again. So many attacks break down where he either 1) holds on to the ball too long and gets dispossessed or 2) tries a flick that costs us possession.

Players and Poch to blame for this.

You shouldn't be 2-0 up to an inferior team and lose. But it was on the cards as we weren't up for the fight. When it was 2-0 we should have put them to the sword. We was so casual.

Their first goal was Sunday league stuff, in fact I don't see players getting that much space as Fernández got to shoot for their first goal. That was so poor. It was curtains from then they smelt blood and we crumbled.

Anybody moaning about the result should have been moaning at the selection before the game. It's obvious that Poch treated this as a run out for players to get minutes.

The only thing he will be mad about is the capitulation.

While this may prolong the malaise at West Ham in a way that ongoing shambolics and inadequacy are tolerated because they won this particular cup game, it's really not an outcome Spurs players should have allowed if they intend to win things.

Hopefully it'll iron out any complacency we have for upcoming games.

We were half arsed all game but found ourselves 2-0 up cut Ham just weren't playing. Fair play they came out in the 2nd and played the usual world cup final style they so against us. But we contained the same half assed approach, didn't really wanna push ourselves it seems.
We've made their season until they get smashed in the next round then smashed in the league against us when we take them seriously

Good news is man City, United, Chelsea, and arsenal our real rivals, have these extra games to play, likely against each other with more chance of injury, suspensions and fatigue

Ultimately that performance was so fucking unprofessional from the players. They should be absolutely embarrassed by that.

Bet they don't give a fuck though, League Cup after all.

Further vindication that Toby has been ropey for a while now and hugely, hugely relies on Jan to do the bulk of defending.
It's odd, it's like he's completely uncomfortable in an unfamiliar defence. He trains with these players every day, I can't understand how he's so good with Jan, but so poor without him.

I can see now why it's usually Jan chosen as our senior defender in these games.

I know it's not a priority, however, you can tell the frustration on show in here is mainly because we're so fucking desperate to win a trophy. Any bloody trophy.

As mentioned by a few above. If Poch isn't that bothered about it, why not just go proper youth and give a batch of our talented youngsters a run out.

Levy should look to register us as a charity after that and get some tax breaks, give to those in need...

One case tonight. He did hesitate.
