Talking about lloris replacement... Donnarumma is in the last 6months of his contract, only 21 and has been ac milan keeper for the last 4 years. Long term keeper sorted, not many other big teams will be looking at replacing goalies in the summer surely?

That may well be a good bet, I don't know anything about him. Pity if we don't start promoting more from within. It's been a long time. Who have we promoted from the academy since Ian Walker?

More to do with his agent than the idea of him being a target. (imo)

He wouldn't make it near my list of "good goalkeepers to play for spurs". The fact he played as much as he did is by no means a measure of success
It shouldn't be a measure anyway. Whether he was good or not shouldn't be a benchmark for future academy prospects, especially 30 years on. It would be like saying that we would never sign a player from a particular club again because of one previous signing.

It was a joke. The last time we promoted an academy keeper it spurned a period of mediocrity.

He had the uncanny ability to be over 6 foot tall, but look 5 foot tall in goal

Donnaruma is very highly rated, I’m honestly surprised he’s not signed a new contract at Milan. It’d be a coup to get him but I can’t see it happening tbh. I think very young keepers are always a bit of a risk too, look at Kepa at Chelsea.

The big problem we’ll face in the summer isn’t getting players in, it’s getting players out to balance the squad (both from a HG quota perspective, and from a playing perspective). I just don’t see Levy taking losses on players like Sanchez to free up space for incomings. That’s the main reason we have a bloated squad - no acceptance to take a hit on players and eventually you get left with situations like that of Rose. Not saying we accept stupid offers, but we have to be pragmatic as there’s no way we recoup anywhere near what we paid for the likes of Sanches, Moura, Sissoko, Davies etc.
I genuinely believe this is one of our most damaging behaviours.

Sissoko upgrade
Sanchez upgrade
Doherty upgrade
Lucas upgrade
Vinicius/ Bale replacement

In that order for me.

Skipp and Sessegnon to take a squad place.

Are they? I thought they were pretty happy with Szczesny. PSG might be looking for a new goalkeeper, apart from that I don't see anybody. I don't we'd be looking for one mind. PSG is the club he's normally linked with, and if they go for Lloris we should go for Donnarumma (who is a very good goalkeeper but still has a lot of learning to do), however, while Milan essentially agreed to let him go at the end of his contract, he wanted to leave 3 or 4 years ago, he might sign on if Milan get in the CL.
