@jouracule : Absence of CL doesn't concern Vertonghen, according to De Telegraaf, still keen on a move to Spurs. Talks continue today, €15M or no deal...

Matias Silvestre's agent flew to London this evening. He will be negotiating with Tottenham tomorrow.

Because the transfer forum's....somewhere.

All I see is that he's a centre back. which is somewhere we need to improve...though that could mean the Vertonghen deal's fallen flat on its face. Or Caulker's going back out. Or Nelsen, Gallas AND King are leaving and we want both.

Anyone know anything about him?

For a second there i nearly got scared thinking it was mikeal silvestre

Well he certainly seems to divide opinion on Twatter. Apparantly he called Podolski to Arse in February. He also called McLeish out, but that was a no brainer I think. I could have told you that lol. He also said who Pool want for their DoF, Heynckes I believe it was.

Even a broken watch is right twice a day.

Never seen him play but may be a possibly backup incase the Vertonghen deal falls through.

Does anyone else think Levy will walk away from the Vertonghen deal soon?

Gonna be financial lack of interest, (we can't afford him and the transfer kitty while delivering the long term goals, stadium etc) not an actual disinterest in The Special One managing us.

Surely.

Please?

It could make sense.

Just speculating for a minute, we seem to have long term goals in place with our training complex, new ground, younger and more affordable transfer targets so we can sustain any long term success we have.

The special one and his ego may demand instant success and big immediate spending which we cannot afford to do.

Well if Levy's a bit special, and Mourinho's the special one, maybe the problem is having too many special people.

If everybody is special it just makes a mockery of the word. Unless it's a Terry family get together, in which case they're all very special indeed.
