Brendan Rodgers: "I believed playing football would be most important to him (Sigurdsson) but obviously it was important financially.#Blast

LOL, bitter much?

I used to like Rodgers, but I can see my respect for him dwindling - the longer his tenure at Liverpool continues. I still don't believe we offered higher wages than them. Even if they are being more cautious with the wages now, they're whole wage structure is higher, they would've matched us, at least. It's footballing reasons... and this bull is just a Liverpool smokescreen to their own fans.

I think Rodgers is just Bitter because Gylfi came out and said that one talk with AVB was enough to make his mind up. When you've had a player at two clubs and then he decides he likes another manager better than you after a 10 minute chat it must really hurt. :p

He had to say something I guess, what Sig said about joining Spurs as we are going places (aka Pool aren't) after Pool so publicly chased him must be massively humiliating and damaging to their pursuit of top class talent.

Not quite as bad as you superstar playing publicly announcing that your current club has no ambition!

It's the Anfield effect. Like a bindipping version of Darth Vader I'm afraid he's more scouse now than man. The next time you see him interviewed he'll have the crazy eyes. His ability to communicate will be reduced to snarls and disturbing smiles, and eventually he'll wind up under a bridge with King Kenny, shouting at traffic and throwing empty cans of white ace at stray cats.

Is it just me or is it the case that as soon as a player/manager joins Liverpool they become immediately something of a bastard?

So Akqayid has now confirmed that Moutinho and Falcao are realistic insofar as they are the level we are aiming at and that they may talk to us. Exciting times.

He did clarify that he is not saying we are signing them...but still...:D

If we're signing Ade we're not going to sign Falcao as well are we? Seeing as AVB is likely to play one ST neither of those two are going to be back-ups.

Just to clear up the Pipe-dream discussions about Higuain. I asked JJ about Higuain and asked if it was a pipe-dream. His reply was "Smoking Pipes! Dream." Which is a very vague answer, can be taken both ways, honestly if it wasn't a goer he'd outright say no, like he did when I asked about a cheeky bid for RVP.
