Well I doubt it, seeing as the waiting list for season tickets stands at about 30,000 if i recall correctly.

Don't really want to say it, but in the past those kinds of links have simply been club hype to excite fans and sell season tickets. Hopefully not true this year

Think that is a bit unfair. Maybe 'aspirational targets of whom we may only sign some (eg VDV would be on that list a couple of years ago, and I thought that albut impossible) but over time the side will improve a lot, but every year we will also need to sign some lesser ranked players and a few youngsters who can be developed (eg Walker, Naughton, Huddlestone etc ) - just look at how far we have come over a 5 year time horizon rather than aq 12 month horizon'

Yea I was gonna say, links to big players or not I would believe the same amount of tickets would be sold anyway.

We pretty much know there's been genuine interest in at least Vertonghen, Remy and Leandro as well.

What I meant was these links in years gone by were empty really. We'd never pay the fee or wages required to land some of the targets we've been linked with in the past and indeed more recent times.
Of course we have to buy some cheap and cheerful players. Tho you could say what's the point as we won't use them. In bassong pienaar Kranjcar we had those player already. We sell them to buy more of the same?

Anyway. Quiet few days I reckon. Maybe only verts at best then perhaps nothing until after euros. We'll perhaps know who our manager is going to be by then.

Rather than pursue the agenda that you pray nightly to the devil and all his little gremlins for, namely Redknapp to quit/be sacked and take a job in Qatar/UAE or wherever, and in the outrageously slim event that your info is correct (cough), why not also include the possibility that he's flying to any one of a number of destinations to sign a player.

So to save you the trouble i've done it for you although I may have missed a few.

Didn't think he was involved in the business of signings once he'd given his list of suggestions to Levy?

Also thought he had pulled out of his Euros tv committments?

Of course he might just be off on holiday (although no Sandra in tow); as you say, probably wishful thinking that it's about a job.

You're right about him not doing the signings. Check out the flights his dog's been making recently...

That's not entirely what he said.

He's piling on the pressure though.
