So basically if Chelsea had lost a penalty shoot out we wouldn't be getting rid of Harry. Great logic Danny.
Rumours of their being a strained relationship go back way further than that. I think it has more to do with the lack of focus after Capello quit, the throwing away of a better league position in the latter half of the last two campaigns, as well as Harry's attempted brinkmanship over a new contract when he had zero leverage. This new agent of his seems to have given him terrible advice; unless the goal was to part company with Spurs.

We shouldnt have been relying on that penalty shootout in the first place. He was on borrowed time the moment we fucked up getting 3rd.

United and City also threw away 10 point gaps on each other. I don't see any talk of Fergie or Mancini getting the boot because of it.

We spend £5million last summer. To finish 4th was a bloody miracle

Why does our club always have to operate like a soap opera. F crisis every few years, is sacking our latest manager really the right option? What about a little stability. Just hope that DL appoints someone who will last longer than a couple of years, if he appoints a new man. Even with Harrys faults, I will be sad to see him go, he saved us from relegation and took us too the CL while playing great football. Be careful what you wish for lads.

The club are not the ones making this a soap opera. In fact there has not been one statement from the club on this matter. Only one person responsible for making this a soap opera.

Exactly.

If Harry didn't conduct his life through the press most of the rumours wouldn't have surfaced.

The guy just doesn't know when to keep his mouth shut about anything.

The season is long gone now, if the powers that be wanted rid, why have they not taken action?
I'll be sad to see Harry go, for the simple reason his arrival coincided with our best spell in years (he must take some credit for this).
However if DL wants him gone I wish he would hurry up and sort it out and bring in the new man to start planning our pre-season. Time to back him or sack him simples.

Harry's behavior since the end of the season will not have helped and maybe even made up Levy's mind. However compensation negotiations are never simples.

City still won the league and when have you ever head of Ferige getting the boot. If City didn't win the league Manchini would be replaced by now.

Spending money = success and improvement? I'll remember that next time I watch Liverpool play.

We already had aruguably the 3rd best team the league anyway. Bringing in Adebayor for the season was pretty much a fifteen million pound plus stiker. Walker came through this season and was like a new signing. We also brought in Friedel, and who despite the intial abuse, turned out to be actually a decent keeper. You don't have to spend hundreds of millions each year to improve.

That 5 million spent is misleading when we actually improved in 4 positions on the pitch and kept our best players.

Great football that was rarely seen after Christmas. Redknapp's approach to football was like the Michael Rickett's scenario - bring something new to the premiership (in our case all out attacking football), works great for the season as you've tried something new ... but come the next season, teams/players have wised up to your tactics and know how to counter act them.

Rickett's was a one season wonder and the same albeit a bit longer can be applied to Redknapp - a 1 trick pony, when we needed alternative tactics to breakdown the likes of Norwich, QPR, Man Utd etc they were nowhere to be seen and we came away with nothing.

Going 4th-5th-4th does that make him a three season wonder? We've played the same style for three seasons under Redknapp.

Is this going to be like the Vertonghen signing? All action for a week and then 20 different people, including Harry saying he's "90 per cent sacked" and "Spurs are the only club I'm interested in being sacked by, despite the interest of Champions League clubs in sacking me"?

finishing 4th this season on paper looks good but it should have been so much more. I won't repeat the frequently used criticism's of his lack of tactics/squad rotation etc. We've, ... well had a fantastic squad before he loaned all the squad players out ... leaving us short ... but with our squad (all present), we should have pushed Utd/City all the way and finished 3rd at the very worst by a massive margin ahead of Arsenal and co.

The last thing on twitter was from talksh*te about us in negotiations with wba over olsson ... which stated how much redder's wanted him .... clearly garbage as redder's is heading for the door (finger's crossed).
