Even getting to Liverpool Street doesn't really solve anything. I live in South West London god damn it

Great

Depending on whereabouts in SW London, check out the North London Line to South Tottenham. Takes about an hour from Richmond or Kew Gardens.

Cheers for that SS. I live in Chelski so that could be a good way to get home.

Don't worry guys our match is on Tuesday and the strike starts 9pm Tuesday so anyone who starts their shift before then has to continue it. Basically this means Tuesday service will be fine, it will be Wednesday that will be severely affected

I won't be able to get to Liverpool St til 6.15-30. Will probably be more hectic than usual. Stupid futile strike as ever.

****s. I hope they all get sacked. Fucking lazy tossers.

Don't be a moron, you have no idea about union action and why they are planning strikes so keep your insults to yourself.

There will be some sort of service running as there are plenty of staff that work during strike action despite the abuse they get from customers and striking staff. So credit those that are there and be thankful you are in a private sector job where you can control your personal development and opportunities.

Fuck striking. It's seemingly the in thing now and it's ridiculous. The fire service are on strike and there were a lot of incidents where picketing fire fighters abused the stand in workers, threw stones, locked equipment up and emptied water tanks. I hate strikes with an absolute passion.

The tube has been even more shit recently as well, there have been relatively severe delays every day for the past fortnight.

Industrial action has increased in past 6 months owing to the Conservative government being in power - most union leaders are staunt objectors to conservative rule and this is a way of showing it, Labour were part funded by the unions and made life for them relatively easy in a period of growth. That lack of growth is the other reason, the government need to make cuts and unions are linked to the public sector so cuts = job loss = union action.

No i'm not thanks. The strikes anger me as much as the next man but people don't give up a days wages if they don't have issues to discuss or a bully forcing them too so they have their reasons - and in a democracy everyone deserves the right to stand up for what they believe.

Also i think it is important to remind people that not everyone strikes as all londoners will know from the last action where you could still get to most parts of london via the Tube.

I think most of us differenciate between the striking members and Bob Crowe, the members are taking action to make a stand for their jobs, terms and conditions whereas Bob Crowe is taking action to enhance his reputation as an anti "bosses"(his word not mine) leader, he is a dinosaur and a pathetic excuse for a Union leader who in the end will only make things worse for his members, he's from the Arthur Scargill (remember him?) school of industrial relations.

So does this mean that the Victoria line after the game will still have trains running, just less of them?

Potentially yes, but it will be even more of a nightmare trying to get on one. I'd expect significant queues after the game.

Can't someone just kill Bob Crowe

Any ideas on how to get back to Euston without going on the tube?

Strikers strike for a reason, and lose a days pay in the process, over serious concerns - more important than a headache for one journey.

Obviously, no one wants to lose a days pay, and no one wants to withdraw labour giving innocent passengers a day of frustration, but if you were threatened with losing your job, thus your home, family and everything (as usually happens when one loses ones job) you'd strike too.

Why don't you ask for the Mayor and the L.U top men to get killed instead? I recall they bring the service to a halt almost every weekend resulting in serious headache for a couple days running!

The Victoria Line will be running normally until late evening. Expect delays after 2230 pm.

And I work for L.U and will be striking, so feel free to ask any questions (or insult me if you wish)
