Did anyone see Kagawa setting up Dortmund's first goal last night? How did Man Utd waste such a talented player?

They never needed him in the first place. Kagawa can only really be effective through the middle and they never played him there because Rooney takes up all that space.

And yet Rooney's best goalscoring season came playing as a striker and not as a number 10.

Yep it's pretty silly people were turning their noses up at welbeck when we were linked with him. Also it's pretty depressing that liverpool destroyed us then had a huge slump in form.

Well he'd have been "shunted" out wide here most likely mate.

He still wasn't for us imo. That team can cater for him and bring his game on. We're still in the process of building.

Excellent tonight though, agreed. I didn't think he'd be able to handle their quick combination play up front but he's managing pretty well so far by the looks of it.

Don't agree mate. I think we would of ended up playing him up top. ITK suggested Pochettino wanted him to play up top to which doesn't surprise me at all. Got the pace, movement and work rate.

All opinions though!

Which itk said that? Surprised if that was the case.

I can't remember. Anyway he would of been an option to cover the left and up top. And with the form of Chadli and Adebayor, it wouldn't of taken Poch to long in realising where he'd be best.

Anyway, its all opinions but I think he would of been great for us. Pity they got him but anyway.

Not true, My dad is a big united fan.

Fergie wanted to replace Rooney with Kagawa and apparently recently said that he felt sorry for Kagawa since his retirement meant that he could never get a chance. Fergie is a big kagawa fan and apparently helped him get the move to Dortmund
