I feel some Liverpool players were not 100% and held back-their long season had caught up. RM were excellent and should have been one up at half time IMO. It honestly wouldnt bother me. I'd obviously question it if we had a match the next day or something, but given that all the villa players are on holiday already, what does it matter? It's not like Liverpool are the arch rivals if Villa either, they're just another random team.

That's the excuse the french police have come out with. From the reports of people on he ground, that wasn't what happened at all. The way the police managed the crowd was a recipe for disaster and it's lucky there weren't more serious consequences.

I’m not sure the wheels are coming off but loosing Mane and Salah starting to age will damage them massively. One can’t overestimate how good those two have been over the last few seasons. It’s not going to be that’s easy to replace them. Diaz looks a good it’s true, but not on that level yet.

Although some football supporters can’t be trusted to turn up with tickets and behave themselves its the police responsibility duty of care to make sure the majority who are law-abiding get in safely. They failed - by not placing the first checkpoint away from the ground to wean out the scum.

I like them as a concept. I know others who do, too. So your assertion is immediately proven false.

Also, no one is foisting anything on you. They're not forcing you to watch it. It doesn't occur in the middle of the match. Many times, broadcasters don't even air the whole thing, opting to show snippets while pundits continue previewing the game.
